Hi Ben, Great to see you're enjoying Snowdonia, however you may not be aware but there is no legal access for mountain biking on Moel Eilio. Moel Eilio is an area of open access land, legislation wise this only allows for walking/running/watching wildlife and climbing. You may also not be aware of the huge efforts local mountain bikers have made to adhere to the Snowdon voluntary agreement, more info here: www.eryri-npa.gov.uk/visiting/Activities/Cycling/voluntary-restrictions There are also a huge amount of other amazing places to mountain bike (legally) in the Snowdonia area including Snowdon itself (keeping within the agreement), Telegraph Valley, Llyn Cowlyd and Sarn Helen as well as the man-made trails at Antur Stiniog, Coed y Brenin and Penmachno. More info here: www.mbwales.com/ Displaying videos like this not only disregards access law but also disrespects the efforts that are being made locally in relation to mountain biking. It would much appreciated if you could remove this video. Thanks Helen Snowdon Area Warden, Snowdonia National Park

Helen Pye the mountain's not going to wear away. No harm is being done. Chill out!

Not going to wear out? Seen the long grooves a bike wheel can cut in the thin topsoil? It soon becomes a runnel for water and hey-presto washed out, trashed. The soil & plant life on mountains take ages to establish. Walking doesn’t do the same rate of damage as bike tyres so it can be tolerated. There are some cracking forests in the area, go ride😎

@@dewindoethdwl2798 so whats the problem if you ride on a rocky path thats already there? you cant wear away topsoil if there isnt any there in the first place.
