I fell last week and had a swollen foot couldn't walk without support and intense pain but when you spoke and prayed about flipping the foot I started flipping my foot and even stood on my toes!!! I could and when you said we should do it again I did!!! Thank you Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever!!!

This guy is describing the lake of fire that is wrongly interpreted as afterlife hell. The lake of fire passages represent the purifying love of God.

I like your message, but you shouldn’t use Luke 12:49. That’s not about the Holy Spirit, but about their coming judgement.

Judgment was dealt with at the cross. His judgment is for us and not against us. See John 5:22 and John 8:15. By his sacrifice he judges us righteous and holy. The tongues of fire that came upon the church in Acts 2 was our fire baptism.

Their judgment was coming, with the end of the old covenant system and the destruction of the temple, but that wasn’t the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and that wasn’t the baptism of Jesus prophesied here.

@@billvanderbush Yes, I just see that particular opening verse does not serve your point as the context seems to point it towards the coming judgement of Jewish religous/ political system, rather than Pentecost.

@@soozin2uI see your point contextually. However I still see that the coming of the Holy Spirit and fire upon all flesh was the very thing that divides people, then and now. Holy Spirit confronts the deepest lies we believe about God and ourselves. Therein lies the conflict. Blessings.

Also, the Romans and many others would sacrifice to the goddess Nike, as they believed she would bring them victory. The Romans would kill Christians and place her flag there as a reminder of where their victory came from.
