As a Eastern Cape native, living in England for 22 years I discovered your channel by chance watching off grid videos. I don’t know exactly where you are but the mountains and surrounding areas are beautiful. I also have an infant KZbin channel that’s mostly random about the things I get up to. Making stuff, travel, George my abandoned rescue cat and more. I love your animal(s) Rusks being such a big part of the show. Many of the random channels I watch have animals and that to me adds value. I suspect your viewership is international. Maybe getting a Celsius and Fahrenheit combo outside thermometer to quote in ‘F for American viewers could be an idea. Thanks for sharing. I miss Africa often but my life is good.

We just recently found this little slice of paradise which we now call home 🙌🏼😁⛰️ super excited to have you along and will go check out your channel for sure. We are removing the fence soon soon. The tree was planted there as there others along the fence line to make shade for us in the future

Thank you! The fruit trees are the best and we busy trying to give them all water as they havnt had water for years. The pears are just about ready and can’t wait to taste one! Our path was great but the small loose stones kept moving as we walked on them.

a lot of food forest places grow nitrogen fixers by the rest and chop and drop them as mulch around the trees

A little farm not in Portugal but in beautiful RSA? Yes please! And I love how interested you seem to be in plants!! I have been to RSA a couple of times looking at the Protea farms and the wild harvesting of Fynbos, I miss it! Might want to look at drip for your garden beds rather than overhead, get the water where it’s needed. And check the salinity of your water, I haven’t watched all your videos so you might have done so, but that will have an impact on your veg in particular.

Lovely video guys. just look at changing the mic audio from Mono to stereo, can be done for free generally in any software you're using to edit. Great to see the eeco like this though, really like it!

Hi guys, I watched the first videos and kind of lost the channel. Found you again today and loved the video. Your landscaping abilities are amazing! It looks really great. I have a lot of questions. You have s few little buildings on your property, one is the beautiful bathroom, one is the storage room with the wash machine but what is the rest? Also, you are my first homestead in South Africa, how is the climate / weather during winter? Do you get storms, a lot of rain? What kind of animals! Bee‘s, warps, mosquitoes, snakes, spiders, ticks??? Sorry, I have really no clue besides you have a gorgeous view! Thank you!

Glad to have you back! Us small channels often never get found 🥲 That section is ours. The rest is our neighbours farm. Our winters in the area we are, are very cold and wet but we have been here for a winter before just in our van and was great. So i think with our whole off grid setup of our own now it will be more comfortable. We have lots of rain in winter and next to nothing in the summer. All types of animals! Lots and lots but that’s what nature is about. We spend all day outside and just love it.
