Great teacher, just wish he had kept teaching / uploading videos.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I've studied several You Tube videos, but when I try to play, all I can get is squeaks and honks and terrible-sounding hollow raspy noises that are the barest approximations of musical notes and sound nothing the way a sax is supposed to sound. I'm a singer and recording musician and I'm pretty much a natural at anything musical, and I thought I could easily figure out and teach myself sax, but this has unfortunately become my much saddened disillusionment.

Good day. I just wanted ask. How do I tell the difference between the alto and a tenor saxophone. I just bought a second hand Saxophone but it has no Neck so I want to buy a neck but I'm not sure it it's a tenor or alto. Please can someone help me
