This is from 2008 , he lost his last 5 fights and was also shot in the head a few years later. He is only 49 in 2024 kinda sad. He still can do a little boxing but is no where near the fighter he once was.

John recently passed. As an Edmonton kid in the 1980s this was the guy the entre city listened to Oilers post game. His program was amazing. Always a gentlemen, eloquant, extremley intelligent, and a downtown to earth human being. Edmonton loses a giant! Much respect John. Dearly missed. Not forgotten.
