Lovely work ,a really first class piece and a lot more sturdy than the old bench! I really enjoy your videos and wry sense of humour. I completed a Roubo this year for my son and relate to your sense of pride and achievement. Keep posting content for us to enjoy.

@ianbye4411 Thanks a lot for your kind comment. Yeah, it was waaaay past time to build a replacement. I do reign in my humor, per my wife's mandate. Otherwise, this channel would be part woodworking and part Dead Pool! I'll make a deal with you. You keep watching, and I'll keep posting 😁

Exemplary work sir! Museum quality piece of woodworking! Don't really care for those vise handle adjustment "finger bolts" though, I think you're clothing/family jewels are likely to get 'snagged' by them. I also foresee the handles falling out and landing on your feet/floor, but to each his own. Well edited video...harder to do and more time consuming than most people think! You got another subscriber!

@tomnorman5461 Thank you for the kind words and the feedback, both are important to me.I don't know for which I should be more proud; the bench or the editing. Both took so long, and both required me to expand my knowledge. What the heck, I'll just be proud of both! I hear you about the thumbs screws, although at my age, getting my family jewels snagged may be a little exciting! There will be a fourth video addressing the vise handles, but you'll have to wait 3 weeks 😉 Thanks, Tom!

Good video, voiceover wonderful, obnoxious music not so much. Not sure why youtubers feel the need to play the same 3 cords of music over and over and over. As far as your skills it looks like you did a great job. Please dispense with the music.

@Bernardgrubb Thanks for the comments. Point taken on the music. I'm very new to posting, so I'm a work in progress.

Very nice work. I had a bunch of white oak flooring that came out of a remodel. I spent a lot of time pulling nails out, by the time they were planed down they were 9/16" thick and less than 3" wide. I made a trestle hall table out of them. it came out nice I get a lot of compliments on it. I like that you stuck with it and built something usable and very nice. Congrats!
