Do you have to tint the tint? I am looking the Dark Tint Based kit but they told me I have to go to Home Depot to tint the tint?!

Ok, the painted cabinets lasted a few years. I decided to make cabinets and install them. They took one year to build by hand, working 2 days a week on them. Now they are installed and look amazing! White ash with white veined Quartz!

They took you one year to make working on them 2 days a week!!??.... What?.... Did you just cut one piece a wood a day, so one face frame took 7 days 🤔. Granted I am a cabinet maker by profession but wholly moly that's a long time. I can make all your cabinet carcasses with face frames by myself in 2-3 days, now that I'm done telling you how bad ass I am 😏🤣. I respect you as just a regular handy guy to take on that type of job and follow it all the way through 👍🏻. I've had many jobs where the husband thinks he will save some money and do it himself only for the wife to call me later and say "Please Help!". It looks simple and straight forward but there is more that goes into it than one would believe. So Kudos to you 👌🏻.

The paint worked well. The topcoat worked well as long as you didn't shake the can. Just stir the topcoat and use a FINE brush and brush it on keeping a wet edge. Lasted for a few years, then we ripped out the kitchen and put hand made white ash cabinets. Took me a year to build them 2 days a week!

Curious how they are holding up for you? I’ve got all my doors setup in assembly line in garage, trying to get frames done first before countertops are installed. Wish me luck!
@drewsuper41612 жыл бұрын
They are holding up well. Just a few touch ups here and there due to little kids hitting the edges with dishes and cups. A simple brush of color and then clear on top takes care of any nicks. I'm in the process of making hand crafted cabinets to replace these. When we install them in a few weeks I'll post a video! They are beautiful WHITE ASH in natural clear! We also are moving the appliances around and taking out the pantry! Should be an exciting video! The cabinets have been 6 months in the making!

Hi did u painted them in portions for example like did u painted bottom than top or u painted everything once
@DAMCOOLDAV Жыл бұрын
@@jameselloko6365 I painted one side at a time, let it dry, then flipped it over. It was a long and aggravating process to say the least, but it only cost me my time(which was a lot).

@@jameselloko6365 I took them all off at once, except I left the drawers on the floor with the stuff in it until I was done with the doors
