Personally, I prefer the double fisherman's knot or the Uni to Uni knot for tying 2 lines together. I'll have to try this one.

Cinch knot or Clinch knot.. After testing,, the Improved Cinch/Clinch Knot does not improve the knot.. It decreases the knot strength.

Improved clinch knot is superior to clinch knot in my tests. But it varies according to the line thickness. Clinch knot may be a little more robust on thin lines.

If you're going to use this cinch you BETTER surgeon wrap it at least three times before cinching it down otherwise it will NOT hold, I found that out the hard way.

Studies have shown that the Davy Knot can retain between 85% and 95% of the breaking strength of the tippet. A very reliable knot. It is usually used in fly fishing. The strength may vary according to the thickness of the line. This is the information I got as a result of my research. Thank you very much for your comment.

DON'T FORGET TO TIGHTEN THE TAG END OF THE KNOT BEFORE CLIPPING OFF THE EXCESS. A smaller spring loaded needle nose pliers kept handy helps with shorter tag ends (Shimano makes a nice model). Grab the tag end of the knot with the pliers, and pull the knot tight before clipping the excess. To make this easier with certain types of line and knots, take the time to slide the loops tight during the process with your fingernails as you pull the tag end tight, but this should not be necessary with most line - especially after wetting the knot. Do this with every knot you tie and with all types of lines, especially braid, which has more of a tendency to slip. Just about every "how to" knot tying video forgets about this last very important step. There should be no spacing between the loops that slide up or down on the knot. It will slide together easier when wetted.

Got to put some jello powder in there catfish and I’m pretty sure carp love that lol you have to make it fresh though at the pond or lake
