Human brain is automatically wired to be uncomfortable with frequencies that line up with predatory growls and cries. You've probably heard something similar to this sound in horror movies. It all capitalizes on that same basic instinct.

I can hear it, but it doesn't bother me in the least Low bass sounds and feels nice High pitch sounds (nails on chalkboard) are untolerable for me I wanna go find and hear this in person

I dont specifically remember hesring this sound, but it feels incredibly familiar almost in a creepy way

I think i hear it a little bit here in thr city but never heard this in the countryside. I always hear noises in thr city anyways so it doesnt matter

is this like tinnitus? Im actually experiencing it right now. And that's been my experience since I lost hearing on my right ear (10 years i think? And that's 1/3 of my life) It might go off (tinnitus) but it will always come back.

Yeah I had to put that to my ear to hear it and be frank I do not feel anything at all it more or less just sound like a regular hum I always hear mix in with the funny ringing in my ears

i used to have this and its absolutely tortuous, i dont know how i dont have it anymore but it was unbearable. It happens only when there is no other sound. If i started humming or listening to something or just any sound at all it went away. The quieter it is the louder the sound gets, not only can you hear it you can feel it aswell. When it got to a certain point i had to close my eyes and start playing music or something alike to make it go away. Im so happy i dont have it anymore.

Must admit I have this in my head most of the day, worse at night. I do have tinnitus but thats more high pitched whistling. As someone commented on here though, if I speak it does literally pause then restarts again. I thought it might be down to ear damage from wearing headphones or blood flow in my eardrum. Weird, wonder if we will ever accurately pin point what it is. Its frustrating when trying to listen to something very very quiet as its like a barrier.

It is a very interesting sound... But what scared me the most is that after 10 seconds of playing it there was a power outage

I can hear this right now, i've heard it on and off for years, but for a good while I haven't noticed it, but now it's back with a vengeance with me!! Seems to be louder and more noticeable than ever, always worse and much more noticeable at night! At the moment with me if I sit and focus on it, there's brief periods where it stops, almost like if you heard someone on a bulldozer, and they briefly stop what they're doing, then start up again. People have always described it as sounding like a plane, or an idling engine outside, which I can totally relate to. It's always more noticeable inside too, and especially upstairs, I honestly don't recall hearing it when i'm outside, but I suppose there's other noises going on, and more distractions...it is a mystery i'd love to get to the bottom of!! Are we the chosen ones? Us few that can hear it? Are we lucky or unlucky? I've learnt to live with it for a long time now, but I know it drives some other people insane, and you all have my sympathy, and I hope one day you find peace from it!!

Reminds me of when I'd get a haircut and the vibration of the hair clippers. Kinds soothing

sometimes when im at a silence especially at late at night when everything is completely silent I can hear a low hight pitched noise coming from inside my ears.
