We are considering the Leo-Cedarville area but as people of color we do have our concerns. Currently, we are just west of Chicago and want a slower pace. Our plan is to retire within the next two to three years and we will continue to consider the FW area. Though the cost of living has gone up it is still significantly lower than the Chicago area, so we shall see what happens.

And not forget the crappy roads that ruin our cars and all the people that drive like fools 😂😂😅

Im from fort wayne. Its not what it used to be when i was a kid. Times were fun back then. Now its not that fun anymore because im an adult now and i live in another state (houston texas) living my own life. I dont know what the housing situation looks like now in fort wayne but im sure its cheap. Places might be affordable.

property taxes are low...good schools, close to 6-8 major cities with in a few hour drive, an airport that flys direct to multiple huge hot spot cities....and our winters have been super mild the last 2-3 years! We love it here!

I was born and raised in Fort Wayne. It is a great city but is going in the wrong direction. The powers that be are trying to turn downtown into a mini New York City. It failed in Des Moines Iowa and in South Bend Indiana. Also our roads are absolutely horrible. I've been to 3rd world countries with better Street. Politicians sit back and blame our Winters, like bad winters just started. Nothing but poor excuses and no planning. They've received tons of money for all these downtown projects and the failing Electric works and have let the roads go to pot. We have almost 90 parks in Fort Wayne and many have very little usage. A study needs to be made on usage and close those under used. The politicians love to Annex Land from the county raise the taxes through the roof and then loot that money away from those neighborhoods into their pet projects. While the neighborhoods deteriorate.

Indiana is a relatively cheap and easy place to live. Not too crowded. If you're looking for great scenery, you'll need to get on a plane. The people are nice, but they wear their politics on their sleeves, like all "conservatives" are trained to do. It's often when you first meet them, it's always negative and it comes with a smug head bob pushing for your agreement. But then that's true in all red states. Just befriend people who think rationally or at least know to keep their mouths shut. On the plus side, unlike the south, they don't wear their religion on their sleeves. The relentless, high-pressure tactics down there are exhausting. Win some, lose some.

This really feels like you found a generic list of why people move and tried to apply it to Fort Wayne. Most of these were a stretch... Also, the quality of these videos could go up if you used local photos.

As a builder and real estate investor living here for 14 years. Every week people contact me about building a barndominium, and every conversation begins with, “if you don’t own land, do not buy it in Allen County, move to a different county if you can”. The dirty secret is every building contractor charges customers more money to do the job in this county due to planning and zoning and the building department.

I was born in Ft Wayne in 1955 and left in 1966. OMG, it was the most boring place I ever lived in.

I had s co-worker from fort Wayne Indiana, he moved to California in 96 and drove his little Subaru all the way to Cali. He always tell the amazing stories of his life in Fort Wayne.

You need to do a segment about Fort Wayne's connectivity, all the US and Interstate roads that can get you anywhere, AND Fort Wayne International Airport is a historic gem. (look up its history)

Ft Wayne crime is on the increase. Also I watch the online sight "Next Door" and was surprised to hear about car vandalism and youth violence like just kicking neighbors doors at night. This activity is even in better neighborhoods. This nonsense may not show up in police reports.
