Note the runway lines do not match the actual line locations when they leave the projected FLIR image up close. This is normal and correct. It is unavoidable parallax because the actual FLIR camera is off center some. For objects beyond the very close focal plane this parallax disappears, so it is (IRL anyway...) manually boresighted to overlay some object at the far focal plane before take-off.

Bro, when I'm refueling, the tanker doesn't show me the green indicator light. Although I can still refuel, it just feels odd. Do you know why this is happening?

@@andrew_maverick I'm playing the AAR mission that comes with the tactical engagement mode. I contact the tanker using UHF channel 13. The refueling goes smoothly, but I always get a yellow indicator light, even when I'm perfectly centered in both altitude and position. However, in your video, I see a green light.

@@andrew_maverick I figured out the answer. It's the difference between the KC-135 and KC-10. The KC-135's center indicator light is green, while the KC-10's is yellow.

In a different era of Falcon, I flew with 3 other extremely experienced dudes on MY FIRST FLIGHT ever in MP...... I did my job as air support and on the way back I was the first one to land --- I was so excited that I'd actually done my job well and protected the other guys, I forgot to lower my landing gear. I skidded the whole way to a stop but survived. <facepalm>

for me dcs is digital cockpit simulator, with lots of nice buttons and pretty mountains to look at but not much else going on, bms is where it’s at
