Hi! Actually these two boards (linum 98 and 111) are the first I designed with Rocket Longboards, but more are coming, including a 106, a 116 and maybe even a 120/121, making the boards from range actually bigger and bigger ;)

What advantages/disadvantages have you noticed when comparing larger and smaller wheels? I'm a beginner on 65 and 70mm but wonder if smaller would help me learn flips
@theosauzonlongboard3 ай бұрын
Hi! Big wheels (70mm) roll better but their weight doesn't make it worth the comfort on rough pavement. My go-to wheel is the Remember Lil Hoots in 65mm because they are plenty comfortable and much lighter than 70mm. They are also so strong I keep them a very long time making them loose mm from their initial diameter, making them smaller each year. I used to ride Remember Peewees in 62mm they have less contact path which make them less comfy than used lil hoots. In my clip at 0:09 (fakie treflip) I use ~60mm lil hoots on smooth pavement and it is the dream because it is both comfortable and very easy to flip because it is light ! So yeah, if your spot allows it you can use smaller wheels, it would definitely help for flips tricks :)

my dancer surfboard is very stiff, and I am very light. Do I need a more flexy dancer board to make stepping work better?
@theosauzonlongboard4 ай бұрын
Hi! Thanks for reaching out! :) I have to admit that I really prefer flex board for dancing, especially long dancing boards. I helps me to make my steps a bit smoother. In this video I have a very short board that is a bit too stiff for me (because it's intended for freestyle) so my dancing steps are a bit less smooth. I recomand you to watch my other videos where I skate longer and more flexy boards for dancing, you'll notice the difference! But yeah if I have to answer you I'd say yes, a more flexy dancer could help making your step work better and smoother :)

Hey man, love your channel. I’m about to buy a rocket linum tonight lol. Was wondering if you could help me with your opinion? I’m torn between the 106 and the 116. I’m looking to do some of both dancing and freestyle, as well as a little bit of cruising around. Which size would you recommend?
@theosauzonlongboard5 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you so much, it means a lot :) They both are really great boards but the 10cm gap makes a lot of difference. If you're looking to improve your dancing and to perform mostly hand tricks and no complies, I'd go for the 116 because it'll make things easier for your (large space, good pop and control). If you're more on the "skate" spectrum of longboarding and you mostly want to perform skate tricks with no foot on the groud, you might need the 106. This board can also handle some easy dancing steps, but it's harder to unlock new dancing combos because of its length. Feel free to ask me more questions here or DM me on instagram @theosauzon if you need anything else ! Cheers, Théo

Hey what size trucks do you have on that thing? I’m looking at possibly getting one for myself but idk what size trucks I should run with it.
@theosauzonlongboard5 ай бұрын
Hey! Thank you for asking, I always love to share some technical details :) I have 180mm wide hangers with 50° baseplates Luxe trucks lite but you can have basically 180mm wide trucks on the linums !
@schwift60995 ай бұрын
@@theosauzonlongboard awesome! I ended up ordering the linum 106, Paris v3 180mm trucks in sage green, Bronson g3 bearings, and blood orange: midnight series 65mm 80a wheels. Looking to get into some dance/freestyle with it. I took a long hiatus from longboarding (8-10 years probably) and now I’m looking to get back into again at 33 years old. I used to do downhill and a little bit of dancing. But now I want to focus on dance and freestyle. Since I’m not sure which of those I will favor I wanted something that I can do both on. I got a pretty good deal on the deck though, 180 USD for a brand new rocket linum. Think the whole setup ran me about 350 USD.

@@theosauzonlongboard honestly I would kill to get my hands on one of the 43” prototypes that you’ve been riding though lol. I was so torn between the 106 and the 116. The prototype you ride is just the perfect size but it doesn’t seem like they sell them anywhere or I likely would have gotten one in that size. I’d love to get a 116 as well so I have both but funds are a little tight right now. The only other boards that I would love to get my hands on are the platypus mini by simple, and the crownboards noble tribe. Both of which are 43”.
