Also, which major is better wrt doing a deferred mba? BA(economics), BBA or bsc(computer science). Please do reply!!

great video! i think another problem with the massive trend in overconsumption is that when inevitably you do have to make purchases, the advertising and product placement is so excessive that it's hard to find exactly what you're looking for, and you might not make the non-optimal purchase despite doing so much research, leading to overconsumption...

As someone who wants to apply for deferred MBA, when do the first round of applications open for HBS? and other related colleges? Because I'm very confused as to when to take my GMAT since I'm not very prepared to take the test immediately.

Hi! Applications are typically due in the April timeframe. It is a bit early for the 2025 deadlines to be out. I would say to spend the next few months studying for the GMAT. Since the score is valid for 5 years, you don't have to worry about it expiring. Try to take the GMAT by December or earlier to be in a safe timeframe. Hope this helps!

This was really amazing video! Can you please tell when are the application results for different deferred mba programs declared for the 1st round or is it the case that results are declared after the 3rd round all together

Thank you! Most deferred applications have a single deadline in April and do not have three rounds, so results are given only once. Top 10 school expectations to this are Stanford, Columbia, and Yale. These schools offer applications in any round, so naturally you'll have the result in the cycle you apply. Hope this answered your question!

@@by_aditirani oh so except for Stanford Columbia and Yale, I can apply for other Deferred programs anywhere between Sept 2024 to April 2025 right ? Will applying early/ late for those have any impact on the chances of getting in. It’ll be really helpful if you can share about the deadline of deferred programs. Whenever I search online, I get the dates for normal mba programs and get a bit confused 🥲

For most schools, applying early/late won't have an impact. Deadlines for deferred MBA programs are probably still coming out as it is a bit early. I suggest working on other parts of your application (recommenders, personal story, and GMAT/GRE) while you wait for the deadlines to come out.

Thank you for your kind words! As long as you did not have a gap in university studies, you should be able to apply to the 2+2 program. I suggest emailing the admissions committee as they can give more accurate information and are very responsive! Hope this helps!

Hi! Thank you so much for your comment. I can definitely do a personal statement video in the future. As for where to do your MBA, I think the first step is to really see what kind of MBA and program you want to do. Both India and the US have great opportunities, so take the time to research programs and what they have to offer. Different schools offer more technical versus managerial MBAs, some with course requirements, others without.
