I know this an old video post, but I'm in the middle of this book right now so I just had to comment. First of all I really appreciate how you've summarized this book; you did an excellent job. It is curious to me that Mr. Galwey never mentions anything about Zen or Buddhist teachings given that his books are Zen and Buddhism applied to tennis and golf. He is obviously someone who has been a student of Zen and/ or Buddhism in general and perhaps a practioner. I wonder if he just felt that if he presented his books as Zen applied to sports that many people, especially back in the 70's, might be turned off and refrain from buying his books, which would be unfortunate given the amazing wisdom they offer. Or did he just want to impress people and dupe them into believing they are his original ideas? (Ala Eckhart Tolle). He seems like a very conscious, kind gentleman, and I will give him the benefit of the doubt, and believe it's the former. (Not that he cares what I think). Thanks again...great videos!

So if a girl is raped and feels violated it's not the rapist's fault, but the victim's fault for "allowing herself to feel that way?" This shit is no antidote. It's the same thing as the other stupid "positive thinking" that tells you if someone is trying to be bad to you or fuck you over, then bend over and just take it!
@LWT13312 жыл бұрын
Nowhere was it implied that it's the victim's fault.

I used to shoot anywhere from 87 to 95, sometimes higher. .. after nothing but lessons, and lots of practice. Got the book in 1980 ..2 months later.. shooting mid low 80's 40 yards longer off the tee ( 280+). within 8 months.. broke 80, and eventually played to a five for the next 20 years.Credit to the inner game of Go;f and Timmy G
