Just recommended an M1 Air to my mother at $649 USD. She's never owned a Mac, but only uses her computer to pay bills, surf the web, and do some online shopping. Blew her mind when I told her she could text iMessages from a Mac and that it used a lot of the same apps as her iPhone. The M1 will absolutely serve her well for years to come! I've loved mine for the last three years and I'm not sure when or if I'm going to upgrade. It's been that good.

Bought a base MacBook Air with an M1 chip almost 2 months ago for P39,990 only. It works pretty well! I used to have an HP laptop which only lasted for 2 years despite using it for looking up stuff on Google and watching Netflix.

For me.....M1 MBA is okay in 2025.....but if the price is right & has at least 16gb RAM. I know the 8gb is awesome back then, but there has been a reason Apple has dropped off the 8gb model.

i bought a base M1 Macbook Air weeks after M3 was announced due to huge discount by my official retailer (I live in Borneo). doing much better compared to HP laptop, provided by my company, that comes with 32 GB RAM and I think Intel i7. the only sad thing MacOS cannot do is PowerBI. other than that, i could do my work faster using the Macbook Air. best purchase ever this year~!

Worked like a charm.

Hey guys. I'm probably a genius but I did the following to fix it: I determined that the speakers are located at the corners of the laptop and applied pressure near the rubber feet area of the affected side while playing audio causing the crackling. I did this for about a minute and applied pressure for 10s at a time and gave it a 5 second gap. Suddenly the crackling went away for me even at high volume! I think the speaker must've been out loose ever so slightly and pressing down on the bottom plate at the corners must've stabilized the body of the laptop
