Also, they added the strobulb, but it sucks because the ghosts are stunned for only a fraction of a second, seemingly less than if you used the regular flashlight, which is odd, because I would think you’d want the trade-off for using the strobulb to be longer stun times.

I'll be honest I forgot about the strobulb lol. I remember trying it when I first played LM 3D but very quickly changed it back to normal controls.

Nintendo's obsession with the 3DS in 2017 was odd. But I think Luigi's Mansion 2 HD is a great port that proves that, yeah, the Switch is that platform to reintroduce people to a game they may have missed out on. It makes me happy to see Nintendo take this franchise seriously by giving people the chance to experience the earlier title that went under a lot of people's radar compared to the first game

I never played the 3DS remake or the og sadly and I really wish it was the first game that got the remake instead of Luigi’s Mansion 2 (Dark Moon) but oh well maybe next time

I liked what I played of Dark Moon when the game came out so I have no complaints about it getting remade, but it would be cool to see the original get the Metroid Prime treatment.

I have a 3ds xl, do you think if I get a circle pad pro for a 3ds xl it will make playing the game more fun?

As far I know the XL models of 3DS dont work with the Circle Pad Pro due to their size. Although as far as gameplay goes I do believe the CPP does help the game control better but not by much imo.

I wouldn't know. I wasn't aware there was a version for the 3DS XL until now, lol. If you're willing to take the gamble on it, it would improve the playability of LM 3DS. There aren't many games compatible with it though is the biggest downside to getting it. I was gifted mine so I got lucky.

I honestly wouldn’t know much about how it compares but I’m sure a lot of this has to do with personal taste. Maybe it’s like the difference in dark souls games though where it fundamentally feels different at a precise level from one to the other. For some maybe it isn’t as noticeable or not much of an issue.

I loved Luigi’s Mansion, but 100% agree the 3DS is less enjoyable due to controls. Love the editing and the Pink Floyd shirt!!
