I dont have the T10 screw driver (it took me FOREVER to figure out why my regular one wasn't working) has anyone tried rinsing it with the glass cleaner without taking that part off?
@yourPERFECTblur3 күн бұрын
First and foremost THANK YOU so much for making this video! For some reason I can't unscrew the blue thing (after you took out the filters) Unfortunately I can't see if what I'm seeing is in fact a screw or not (there is something there but not sure if it's meant to be unscrewed or not) When I moved into my place last year we were blessed with bed bugs. The company that came out to spray told me to purchase this powder that supposedly dries it out (not sure if it was the spray powder or the simple fact that I was vacuuming/wiping down DEEP CLEANING EVERYTHING a minimum of 3 times a day) I have yet to do a deep clean on my vaccine because shortly after thaty daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It's been a crazy year to say the least. Basically my question to you is can I still used the glass cleaner (and water) without taking the blue part completely off? Or do I run a risk of something happening?

Thank you for making this video, it is the only one I have seen for this older model. Also I was quite entertained watching you say "this is the last screw" as I had taken all those out but was stuck on the hidden one under the switch I was not aware of. This is one of the most resilient vacuums I have had (this is 2nd one). Also WTH were they thinking not making the canister removable?! Anyway thank you and stay handy sir!

The metal shield probably isn't a heat shield. It's probably a RF (radio frequency) shield to prevent interference from other electronic devices or prevent it from interfering with another device or it does double duty (RF & heat).

Hinge on dust bin broke where the pin goes through it. No way to repair it so I had to replace entire bin. I lucked out finding a replacement on eBay because Shark doesn’t sell replacement bins. Without your video I wouldn’t have found all those hidden screws. Man, what a pain!

Its taken me two days to find someone who disassembled that dang dust can. I knew it was possible. I can't really tell how you popped the latch. The manual says to only rinse it out but that did make sense and it would definitely would take more that 24 hours to dry. I put mine in a 5 gl bucket good soak and blast with the water hose. Thank you.

welp. I wish I had bought another dyson rather than switching to shark. this is ridiculous. Great video thought, I'll be rewatching tomorrow and doing this step by step. Insane that I could break apart my dyson in a hot second with a quarter coin and here I am watching this video trying to figure out how to clean my damn shark.
@TorrentPerformance27 күн бұрын
Joy the dyson are 10x easier to work on but the build quality of the shark materials is superior. However i have switched back to all dyson due to the fact of i can take apart clean and keep going on my job. Hope you subscribed.

I can’t thank you enough for this video. I have the same unit. Had the exact same problems. But after 4 hours 30 screws and a lot of cussing, she sucks better than ever. And like you…I have 2 extra screws left. 😆

LOL a small super chat as a tip would be nice.
@jeffnelson197025 күн бұрын
My recommendations would be to use a magnetic tip screwdriver and put the screws in small labeled Dixie cups.

ohmyword. Yes.... I feel all proud of myself for doing allll the things to disassemble it and clean all of it so thoroughly.... but can't figure out how to reassemble it! I think I may try to rewatch the video "backwards" per transcript points. If not, then I'm saying hello to a Dyson, apparently.

Just upgraded my unit by following your video. Thanks for being the brave one to pry off the original filter! My kit didn't come with any instructions at all, so I would have been very reluctant to just start prying things, hoping that I was doing the right thing!

I’m so glad I found this. I bought one just like it off FB. Owner said needed cleaning but I didn’t realize she had never ever cleaned it and had two huge dogs. This thing was clogged full of fur and stinks so bad. The main filter was darker than I have ever seen a filter. It was absolutely disgusting. Almost said screw it and threw it away.

If the light is out the hashboard is not running. In my case the board is broken and needed new mosfet. I advise installing 'brains' os, it gives you the ability to set a max power (watts) instead of full power. Less power less stress heat and noise. Cool garage 😎
@TorrentPerformanceАй бұрын
Thanks it has brains os on it already I gotta mess with it this weekend. So I need to replace the whole board if lights don't come on? I'm new to this game
@daviebeuving781Ай бұрын
90% that the board is dead. You can try to switch cables with a working board. And if you can solder and measuring try to fix it, but it's not easy
@Ottonic6Ай бұрын
Most power PSU's are the same height and depth. The length changes with your higher power PSU's. The PSU's with removable cables are called "modular", which allow you to remove the cables you don't need to reduce case clutter. Those little single pins are for the motherboard "beep" speaker, your hard drive activity light, power LED light, reset switch and your case power button. two connectors each (+ and --). the connectors are usually labeled but not always the pins on the mobo, and not all mobos have them in the same positions, so it's a good idea to look at a manual or google it. A lot of times you want to hook those up early in the build while their easily accessible. Patience is key. Thanks for the video.

I’ve been watching your videos here in 2024, I recently bought an outlaw 525s and am fixing it up. By the sounds of your video we have some pretty similar outlooks on how things went down. Hopefully you are doing well, thanks for making high quality videos on a not very common machine.

Wow! I guess this great for those who are able to do this themself, but except for cleaning the filters and brush head, I wouldn’t do the rest. Too bad you need to disassemble the motor unit to just get the dust bin off. That’s something I’d want to wash out. Great video though!
