Janice King, your empathy for taking care of others and treating others and their families who are suffering so much. Your compassion for doing that is so inspiring and I just want to say that your heart is so full of gratitude. Thank you for sharing your experience as a nurse who has experienced the benefits of helping others feel better. By being so unselfish, you are a great person who deserves all of the love and kindness that you have. I am really happy to hear about someone speaking about the importance of giving so much effort towards helping others. This is an excellent example of how we all should dedicate our individual lives for a meaningful change in other people’s lives. It’s not always about being famous online, you seem like a great example of a person who should write a book about your life. ❤

I’ve listened to this a couple times this week, curious to know how you’re doing now? I’m 65, breast implants for 35 years now… I’m having my explant 8/22 with Dr. Whitfield. Cant wait but I’m so nervous about it… Do you have any ideas on how to help myself with this…

Good morning! Good for you! Good for you! I am so happy for you and I am doing SO well! Fabulous actually! The best decision for me was to explant after years and years of health decline. You are in THE best hands with Dr. Whitfield! Please DM me on Instagram and let me know if I can help. I have so many resources!! You've got this!

I also contend That the ratio of women narcissist is much higher than 25%. I think they are covert, narcissist, Most times and difficult to pinpoint for the people in their circle. They never can really get to close with anyone. My wife currently has no Real true friends. Many of them Figure her out and then go no contact eventually.
@ChadGray-t5d6 ай бұрын
100% agree. I don’t think most of the world thinks of narcissism as anything beyond the braggy self promoting kind. Thats what makes covert so insidious
@tiffanycblackmon6 ай бұрын
This is such a great point! Covert narcissism is so real and very common in my opinion.

Yes! 20 years married to a narcissist who has every one of the character traits. Too bad I didn’t know what narcissism really was until 2yrs ago when my cousin asked me if I realized that I was married to one. She has never said “I’m sorry”. Only, “I’m sorry you feel that way”. Or many other phrases that deflect any accountability. Everything always is her way or heck to pay. She absolutely must be in charge of everything. Boundaries mean nothing. In fact, she likes it when I create boundaries because that gives her something to press on me constantly, hoping to break me down. I can’t even get started with the food abuse! Me and the children have to eat an increasingly restrictive diet that she hasn’t objectively researched. Just her extreme ideas and when you challenge any of them reasonably, you are now the enemy. “I thought we were on the same page on this” is a phrase I’ve heard hundreds of times in our relationship. She says this to marginalize me. Compromise means moving all the way to where she is on any matter. They get good at this and you just want peace and to move on eventually wishing your days away. Sadly, my children are wishing their childhood away. She left two months ago but has the children and, since we haven’t made it to A custody hearing yet, she controls and dictates when and how I see our children. This is true, emotional and psychological abuse. I kept reading about the discard phase and now I’m smack dab in the middle of it. I’m praying for a fair and sensible judge.

Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear you’re experiencing this, and cannot thank you enough for sharing your journey. This episode is such a great resource for recognizing and handling a narcissist, and also discusses the negative impact on children. Sending you my best wishes on your healing journey and best of luck on your custody hearing. You are doing such admirable work by researching this topic as well as fighting for your children.

@tiffanycblackmon Thank you, Tiffany, for the encouraging words. As most narcissistically abused people do, I blamed myself for not doing enough or for not being perfect Wow, rationalizing the most atrocious and abusive behavior from her. Not just to me, but even my children. But, she is oblivious And cannot handle any feedback or criticism. Even when it’s totally necessary.
@adamtobin81326 ай бұрын
This is such a great articulation of these behaviors. I’ve been thru a lot with these people. This is all exactly right on. I ignored red flags and was co dependent and insecure now I’m divorcing a narc, we have 2 young kids. But I’m building up my self Esteem and boundaries.

Got mine out a week ago.. after 34 years inside my body i got finally rid of them and i couldn’t be more happy. I am still a bit sore from the operation, but this will only get better in time…. When i got them nobody ever told me i should replace them in 15 years, and i was young and wanted to feel more secure about myself. I’ve had three children with these things but never breast feeded just because i was scared that my babies would get some of the silicon in their body… after years i just didn’t feel comfortable anymore with my breasts and wanted to get them out, but at the time i didn’t have the money for the operation and so i lived with them for more years. But i started to get some issues with my upper body and couldn’t figgure out where it came from, first i thought oh well, i washed the curtains yesterday so that must be it. Later i thought oh well maybe i did to much of gardening yesterday that’s probably it! But the symptoms came back more often and then they were just there every day. Heartpalpitations, skipping heartbeats, pressure on my chest, my breathing didn’t go very well, it seemed if i couldn’t breath out enough and so constantly took my breaths to high. My muscles and my joints they just felt as if i worked out too much in the gym, but i thought oh well I’m in my menopause so that must be it. I took as much days off from work as i could, felt more and more that i needed breaks. My anxiety felt horrible, panic attacks on daily base and on one day my daughter said to me, mom why don’t you just go to see your doctor and ask her if your implants can be the cause….. so i did and that was the best advice ever…. She send me to the Hospital four months ago, i’ve had an MRI scan and that told me that both implants leaked into the capsules and here in the Netherlands that means that your health insurance will cover for the entire operation and that has been my greatest luck! When my doctor talked to me after the operation she told me that both implants not only leaked, but were both ripped, totally broken and that when she touched the capsules, they just broke, so they were porous aswell. She told me she cleaned everything inside and that she removed all of the capsule in my right breast and nearly everything in the left, that she couldn’t remove the last piece on the left because it was stuck and she didn’t want me to get an internal bleeding. I’m 8 days post operation now and feel a lot better. I am 100% convinced that most issues came from my breast implants and i have never before been so very happy with my little breasts as i am now and i am 58 years old.
