@@Willdass ohhh, okay. Maybe you could turn them off. If that’s the big thing keeping you from it, you should join the disc and ask! It’s a very customizable game, I’m sure there’s a way to turn it off

I love it! Sure, you need to edit the Pilot Helmet Details texture file in Photoshop or Gimp. I used the latter. There is no textbox so you need to first remove “nickname” and then write your name in a suitable font. Can’t remember exactly the path at the top of my head but I think it’s either in the Core Mods folder or just Mods. The files get rewritten each patch so use a mod manager or keep a backup file.

Oh yeah-ah-ah! What a beauty! DCS is a really cool simulator. I respect those who love airplanes and do not forget about such a great simulator!(and also Forza Horizon 4 comes to mind because of the music :3)

@@AJTROPICAL Hard to say. Bought most of it on sale and over multiple years, and some of it is not for sale anymore (throttle and VR headset for example). Probably close to 10k USD including the PC.

@@pnksmigge5324 can use them all with no issues. It becomes just as easy as typing or playing other games without looking at your keyboard. Also mixed reality has a lot of limitations: different lighting, no cockpit shadows, different fps and resolution etc

This is so cool man. Im looking at the different pC VR headsetd to see which ones have best resolution. I built my pc a while back and I'll definitely have to upgrade my graphics card. I was looking at DCS and Arma trying to learn which one is best for this. Do u play any racing games at all or mainly flying simulators? My dad was a pilot many years ago, figured I'd try this to get a rough example of how things can go in a simulation. I saved your video for references man. It's so awesome dude. 🤘🔥

@@daviedood2503 cool! DCS does require a pretty high end PC to run smoothly in VR in complex missions. I would recommend my headset if you can get it used (out of production). It’s still one of the best, with Pimax Crystal being its main competitor. Also know a lot of people who are very happy with the Quest 3. Only aviation sims atm. I would need to build a proper racing rig (and a bigger apartment) to get me into sim racing.

@@Willdass yeah, I built my PC back in 2018. I kinda skimped out on the graphics card. Was GeForce 1050ti with 4 gigs of ram. I got 16 gigs ram inside it now. I have a 2tb nvme drive installed. It's a 16 core processor around 2.8 or 2.9 ghz that I can still over clock. I'd have to definitely upgrade my graphics card, and maybe toss in another 2 sticks of 8 gigs each ram. My board supports 64 gigs total. The headsets is what I was trying to compare. I like the quest 3 bc it seems to be a stand alone unit. But I think I'd get way better quality with an HTC VIVE or an OCULUS RIFT. ( idk if quest bought them out...) 🤔 But now that you mentioned your headset, I have to look at the specs. You seem very good at this simulation. You should open up a digital flight school to help new people out. 😃🔥

@@daviedood2503 Yeah, you definitely need a better GPU for VR. Preferably one with 12+gb of VRAM. 32gb of ram is good enough for single player, but would recommend 64 for complex multiplayer missions. I would stay away from the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. They are ancient tech by now and the Quest 3 is miles ahead. Twice the resolution and much better lenses. And the Aero and Crystal is a big step above the Quest 3. Thanks for the compliments. My time is very limited at the moment but I do instruct in the F-16 sometimes :)

You could do with A/ velcro straps for the pad and B/ a plate that you can attach to ya hotas mount for the keypad I have a plate screwed onto the excess railing on my throttle mount and the keypad fits in there snug. Nice simpit
