No time for meditating. We have to get equipment set up and make sure everything is working and set to go before the clock runs out. But it's a good idea to relax, have fun and no worrying. The audience picks up on the vibe that the band is putting out and confidence goes a long way. Of course if you're doing shows with roadies to set up equipment, enjoy.

I've met plenty of performers that fail because they don't recognize their mistakes. It's a process to learn what your saying. Great advice. Thanks for sharing. ❤

Btw : it's possible to do meditation without an app. It is, actually... the whole point, of meditation. (I get that people might need help to start with but I'm really tired of people promoting meditation ONLY through apps - if you need help, you can also attend guided meditations in churches or temples (even community centers offers those now) and then you can connect with the community as well and get real tips, from REAL people)

And please, please, please! Invest in learning stage presence, that includes how you talk to the audience and how you move in stage, moves that seem nonsense and that make you look epileptic, only tell the audience that you are not super star material, before the G3 shows, Joe Satriani was static in front of the mic, playing beautiful music perfectly, but his level of connection with the audience wasn’t adequate, after the G3 1st gen shows, his solo shows were totally different, he learnt moves and you could see how he moved all along the stage and wasn’t static any more, where that change came from? It came from Steve Vai, he knows how to handle the stage and am almost sure he told Satch “you could improve your show doing this… :

“You need to act like you’re doing the audience a favor by performing for them” is absolutely awful advice. Those people spent their time (and likely, money) to be there. You show appreciation. I didn’t need to go any further with this poor, irresponsible content.
@StringsAttachedOfficial
@StringsAttachedOfficial 7 ай бұрын
Of course - you bring up a good point that appreciation is needed. You should show appreciation always. Acting like you're doing the audience a favor is a mindset trick for confidence. I see tons of musicians who feel (and then act) like they don't belong on that stage. But the fact is, they're amazing and talented and we as the audience are lucky to be hearing it. As an audience member, I want to feel both appreciated for being there and also that I'm not doing them a favor for showing up - that their music and stagecraft are so good that I'm lucky to be watching/hearing it. That's how I've felt at the best gigs I've been to. It's a good mindset for the musician to project healthy confidence. But again, appreciation is also important and should be mentioned on stage.

As much as I want flowerface to get more recognition, I wanna gatekeep her musics for myself but if her musics reach more people one day and she receives lots of new fans I'll be happy for her though, she'll always be my favorite artist ❤

Sorry, haven't used a distributor yet. I'm about releasing a track and was confused as which distributor would be fit but after watching you make the comparison here, I've got a question. You mentioned that tunecore distributes to social platforms like facebook, tik tok etc. Does distrokid also distribute to social platforms and what's the cost? Thanks!
@StringsAttachedOfficial
@StringsAttachedOfficial Жыл бұрын
From what I can see, DistroKid distributes to social platforms too at no additional cost. So, the standard $19.99 yearly subscription should cover social releases. I think only KZbin Content ID is extra!
