Did you use the stock sounds or have you got an amp sim hooked up

Thanks! It's quite warm and thick sounding guitar so dont be afraid to use the bite knob (I set it to 20-25%) and then in your amp sim, set the mids quite high (depends on the amp sim). Also, you can do a low shelf cut before the amp if you want to tighten the low end.

@@furnissplayz9016 I'm using Aurora DSP Rhino here, it's currently on sale for $50 off with code Black Deal. I also demoed their Absylon and it also works very well with Argent with minimal tweaking. I'm sure I could get good tones with free third party amp sims as well but I use the paid stuff out of habit and because I already have them. But you really don't need to spend money on amp sims to get good results with all the free stuff available today.

@@alyctro8158 Thanks! I'm not sure what interface problems you're referring to, and sound mostly depends on the samples and the samples are quite tight and well recorded. It's a very different sound compared to Hydra too, Hydra has more mids while Argent is warmer/thicker

But I don't think there's much risk, I've only ever received copyright claims and not strikes (strikes are the bad ones that can get your channel taken down)

@@StonerSquirrel Thanks! It's been a while but I opted to not use palm mutes for the main riff because the mutes they recorded were too tight for the riff which originally utilizes a sort of half-muted notes.

@@StonerSquirrel Yes. I think they only recorded one palm mute layer, although they added a slider to adjust the tightness, but that still doesn't enable you to do those half mutes with long decay

@@StonerSquirrel it can still do some nice mutes, don't get me wrong, but this riff needs those half mutes and tbh those don't sound great even with the guitars that have them. It's hard to make this riff sound right with VST guitars
