Hey sorry to hear you didn’t get that role, from the sounds of it getting that role meant a lot to you, I know how it feels when something such as a project or performance you’ve put so much time and effort into doesn’t really make nor receive the attention/praise you thought it might, I had a look at your jester hat voice practice videos (1-4 from the time of typing this) I’m not a voice acting judge, I’m not even a voice actor but as a random dude on the internet to me you sounded pretty good and it sounds like you want input from an outside source rather than just from friends, sorry I can’t give any advice tho I don’t know anything about voice acting so me trying to give you any advice would be like a janitor telling NASA how to build rockets the “correct” way and again I’m super sorry about that, I also couldn’t help but notice you mentioned that you struggle with self worth, I’m really sorry to hear that if it helps in anyway I also struggle with depression but unfortunately for me mine’s been eating away at me for just about 5 years now, you might hear this a lot you might not but being in a negative headspace can effect you without you even noticing, if you feel down and alone please don’t hesitate to reach out to your friends or family members for support, they’re there to support you every step of the way, sorry for the rant I just wanted to say what I had in mind given that my friends and the adults around me at the time started to notice my depression when I was 15 turning 16, it just concerns me given what I used to think about during horrible days I hope you don’t have it as bad as mine and if you do or if it’s worse than what mine was and sadly kinda still is I want to assure you that friends, family even people on the internet care and see a sense of worth in you, hell I wrote all this to show I care 😂. You don't need to be sorry for not feeling valued in some sense. There's been times where I've been looked over and someone else gets all the attention, it really hurts. I've never really been "betrayed" in the sense of that Cole thing idk anything about but it must have met alot to you and others, it was the show's comfort you want back and you had the opportunity to bring it back by VAing your favorite character, and you didn't make it, and you blame yourself when it's not your fault. It's natural to feel upset with yourself for not meeting a standard you feel everyone has, I've delt with it for a while now, it's why I want Animation Eclipse to be a mentally safe work environment, because smaller creators like you matter as much as someone bigger. You feel the urge to change yourself to someone's liking, but is it really best for you? I've changed myself for someone I knew, and now she's gone, I felt like I wasn't doing enough when I had done more than enough. You can't be perfect, and that's what makes you, you. I believe in you, even if I'm 3 years younger than you I believe that I can help you in a sad time like this, but this isn't about me, it's about you, I believe in you💚 (that's a lot of words, but I truly mean them (unless auto correct screwed me over and made hate speech out of my motivational speech lol))
