I'm used to the windows version where it looks like I've opened the program and there is a solid gray background. I find it really distracting to have my desktop show up on the mac version. Is there a way to make the mac version look and act like the windows version?

For those watching who read this, I still don't have a fix. My mate went to Poland for his studies and he gave me his burner that was already flashed. I'm hoping someone know how to get around this and get it to flash. It'd be a big help. Thanks.

Do you know how to enable IDE emulation? I'm on a Dell and the BIOS only gives me the choice of ATA, RAID, SATA. I've tried the registry edit to msachi and pciide but neither does anything. I'm thinking of booting up a Virtual Box as I know I can set an IDE Controller, but that will take a while. And yes, I'm using straight up SATA cables, no SATA to USB (which I've heard works too).

Simple fix. Go into your bios and change the SATA configuration into IDE. Then it should flash.
