My favorite boi Staraptor, punching (or… pecking) above weight class as usual and stated in the Pokédex. I’m proud of ‘em 🦅👍

Status Moves don't do 💩💩💩💩 for me I Focus on Dealing Damage to the opposing Pokemon; since THAT'S How you win a Pokemon Battle; by getting the other pokemon's HP down to Zero; and YOU CAN'T DO THAT WITHOUT DEALING DAMAGE; WHICH STATUS MOVES DON'T DO; Also I Never play against Other IRL Players; Only against the NPCs where Status Moves AREN'T Needed at all

I've played the games since I was 6 and I'm not gonna lie, I still just max out for powerful attacks, so I figured I'd watch something to explain if I'm wrong😂

I'm a Newcomer to Pokemon; and I Just Use Attacks that Deal Damage; and opt for ones that are More Likely to NOT Miss; like either 100% Accuracy Moves; or "Never Miss" attacks; or Attacks that also have a chance of inflicting Status Effects, but More Importantly still Deal damage to the opposing Pokemon's HP

Pu tier : <~ it’s merely a meme tier if your coming back to this video in 2023 Ag tier: <~ despite not being fully looked into because there’s no need there’s literally a very small handful of mons in there *Was* created because of mega rayquaza you know it’s bad when a whole tier list was made for you with usage in teams was banned

I personally have a core team format, 1 fire, 1 grass, 1 water and 1 electric to cover most weaknesses, my starter would most likely hold the Mega Stone as it's naturally going to be my strongest Pokemom par legendaries and I'd make most of my Pokemon have dual typing for more coverage.

I doubt it, as long as the stat decrease isn't detrimental to the pokémon, like idk an Adamant Gardevoir, you're lowering Sp. Atk, the stat it uses the most, to raise Atk Why tf would you want +Atk on a Gardevoir, other than to goof around with a physical stickman But even so, even if detrimental, the pokemon can probably still be successful if in a high enough level and/or with great moves

I’d say you should have your starter, a water type, a fire type, and a flying type The last 2 or 3 spaces I say choose whatever as long as their not the same type as the others unless they have 2 types which one is different from the other

The best part, however, is that it says "to your spells" and not "to your Cleric and Paladin spells", and therefore benefits a multiclasser as well.

For anyone inevitably confused, he means "training". The word "tutor" in pokémon terms is only used when referring to tutoring moves onto a pokémon.

A couple of personal examples of great status move usage: - my Jumpluff's *Leech Seed* healed her so well that she could hit herself in confusion for the rest of the fight and *still* come out victorious, thanks to the passive damage and healing; - with *Will-o-Wisp,* I was able to burn all of Elesa's Pokemon. Since being burnt halves your attack, when they weren't Volt Switching, they couldn't do any meaningful damage while getting burnt down themselves;

If I may add one other point sir (You do pretty damn good on your tutor videos, I'm a "non-competitive" player myself. Which when I say that, I mean to say that I use competitive as a basis for a good chunk of my pokemon team building, but because of how strict it is on a lot of pokemon I like, I don't over rely on it because it honestly sucks) If you don't teach your Pokemon Coverage Moves, you can also give them Status Moves that will either help your Pokemon or make things more difficult for your opponents. Whether it'd be stats or status moves or (if I may add) hazards (Such as Spikes, Stealth Rock, Sticky Web, Toxic Spikes). This can allow you to utilize great strategies and could even get you out in a pinch later.

Big agree! I actually realized this oversight on my part in the video during my hiatus, but you're absolutely right.
