Hahahahaha.....LMFAO!!! The hkusp45 sucks so bad, I had to get a 45T just to confirm. Yep, they suck monkey balls! BTW, I will dispose any and all HKUSP45 for anyone that wish to get rid of them at $150 per. That should cover all disposal costs and Haz Mat fees. It actually costs more but I shall cover all overages due to my generous nature to fellow HK haters!

@twistedgunsmith93 You reckon this setup would run better unsuppressed if it was .300 Blackout? Been told the same thing about running a barrel that short with .223, was hoping a larger caliber (other than 7.62x39) would be reliable.
@twistedgunsmith93662 жыл бұрын
I dont think the caliber woulf have alot of impact. This is an issue whenever you cut a barrel so close to the gas block on a system not meant to do it. You can address this in a few ways the easiest is to slightly open up the gas port to allow more gas to bleed off but only to a point.
@IvyMike5512 жыл бұрын
@@twistedgunsmith9366 Thanks for the response, I ideally wanted a barrel length exactly like yours, how reliable is it at it’s current configuration? If it’s not quite 100%, how much extra barrel do you think would be needed to make it as close to 100% as possible..?
@twistedgunsmith93662 жыл бұрын
@@IvyMike551 just plan on opening the gas port a few .001's. Or maybe leave a good 3 or 4in in front of the gas block
@IvyMike5512 жыл бұрын
@@twistedgunsmith9366 Would hope opening up the gas block combined with maybe 1-2” additional barrel off the gas block (before muzzle device) would suffice

I wonder if its possible to do a compromise with a pin and weld vs having threading, and that's machining a barrel with 16" length, and cut the inside of he muzzle back a little, and put in slot porting, like they put on race guns, but only in the grooves, leave the lands intact (like a twist pattern) and only at the 12, 3 and 6 o'clock, so I like an a2 birdcage... but then have end machined such that there's a threaded "shoulder" behind the muzzle insdead of on it, and this could be a large thread set up, like you sometimes get with larger firearms. You could put a knurled thread protector ring on it to keep them fresh, or include a taper that's industry standard so it can take larger suppressor host muzzle devices. You'd end up being legal, having the benefits of recessed suppressor attachment length you get with QuickAttach mounts which allow lower OAL per volume, and when nothing is on it, you get same length benefits as a pin and weld without sacrificing harmonics, or threads. But I suppose it would require experimentation to not paint yourself into a corner and lose all aftermarket support, then you're back to square 1.
