When we started skating Anti rocker in the 90s we had huge wheels on the outside, bigger the better to compensate for speed. I think it's a flaw in modern skates. 68 seems like a much nicer anti size but I can't fit them in my skates, I'm about 62 at best. Anti is for street skating but it's kind of been reversed, Anti for park & flat for street which I now understand but still feel like it's missing a lot in the skating experience & what makes it enjoyable.

NIce fishbrains, you make them look easy. Are your legs strong enough do to a pistol squat? I feel like that i a necessity for proper rocket fish, hopefully i can ski enough this winter so the rocket fish can be ez next year
@jadrollervlog23 күн бұрын
Yeah I can pistol squat on both my legs. But not very many reps. In my opinion though a rocket fish is easier than a pistol squat because you get to use both legs to stand back up. If you ski I'm sure that'll help beef up your quads right? I bet you'll get a rock of fish in no time. I learned them by not grabbing so that I can just concentrate on locking the back foot. You don't necessarily have to sit all the way down on it though. But they look much better when you do

Wow, you make that move look easy! And I had a plate and screws "installed? lol" in my right wrist in February... freak accident alpine skiing on my favorite run. I hope he heals up fast, it sucks recovering from surgery and all you want to do is go skate. Nice tribute for him I'm sure he was excited to watch it!

I just want to remind all the short kings that it's perfectly fine if your measurement is for a six inch strap. Don't be intimidated by those who have a nine inch strap. What matters is that your ankles are safe. Not the length of your strap.

Jonathan, bro this was one of the best skate reviews I’ve ever watched… it’s such a simple idea, but I don’t think anybody has done it yet; the way you interspersed skating then table talk then skating, then table talk, etc was so fresh. Of course, literally God-tier visual Fidelity and audio Fidelity as usual… that’s expected from JAD
Dude I just tried my brand new JAD straps on my 909 setup and man…. It just feels natural! Sometimes with buckles I never know if I need 1 more click or not. With this just pull until it feels right and done! And gives a little too. I think I’m converted 😊plus I gotta support this man so that Heather keeps allowing him to run his channel 😅

@@c6moneypit8 I'm actually going to possibly try them on my old cults. Until I can drill out the new buckles cause I believe on level 1 they are riveted on... ive been wanting to strap up myself. But I'll admit I am fortunate to Set my skates once and it works for me. I kinda go loosey goosey
@kevincollins8620Ай бұрын
From your unboxing... I should have copped a pair. I have Cult level 1 almost here. I trust the cult. So I keep buying em. If only with how the sneaker stuff was and the Jordan 4s popularity... they bring back a cult7 or 8...

Great review. Honestly best stock skates i owned, ever. And I started in the 90's with tarmac CE... confort is amazing, liner is really good (at the exception maybe of the patches which squeak a bit...). They are flexy and supportive which is not straightforward thinking but appears to be the best way to describe the feeling. The stock wheels seem to wear pretty fast, not sure of the durometer (probably lower than 90a) but they're fast Bearings are bearings and you have some additional ones in the antirockers which is great and such much better than grindblocks which can be loose and clicky IMO. buckles are very well protected, the cuff height system is great (even if not really really practical, but you don"t do it a each session). Only "negative" points so far would be: the inner sole which is very basic, the shock absorber that is not effective, and the hollowness of the soul plate that creates a hollow sound when you rock on the hblock (because im picky, sounds is not as satisfying as the omnis). At this price point, these are really really good skates if the sizing is ok for you (275mm long feet, skating the 42). I don't any other pair of stock skates that are so ggod out of the box, and so good, not to mention the red loctite on the threads
@kevincollins8620Ай бұрын
Again this makes me regret copping cults again. I do love cults. Excited to try the one piece souls on em.

Love the vibe of this video, I'd really like to see a side by side comparison size between the us6/7 and 8/9 shell, I have a stupid sized foot which is between those 2 shell's (262 mondo). if i had to go for the 8/9 shell i don't want them to feel big on my feet.

Hey Sean, my foot is 262mm and I use the 266mm shell. It requires a few sessions to break in, but after it fits like a glove :) Hope it works for you too.
