The Official Golf Ranking OWGR is now the UWGR Unofficial Golf Ranking. They are fast becoming obsolete and out-of-touch. LIV golf definitely has over 20 players that should be in the world top 40 but the out-of-touch OWGR assigns them no points. Huh? Wake up OWGR! LIV golf is exciting and interesting to watch and highly competitive too! Way more interesting, exciting and fun than many dull PGA events. LIV certainly has many great, fit & healthy players shooting 59s on tough courses too. Maybe LIV should launch their own WGR World Gold Ranking and include all major tours including themselves!

What garbage, LIV players joined knowing they LIV had no points, the OWGR continually telling LIV that they did not meet criteria and LIV changed nothing. They don't care about the 1000's of players on the 12 other tours who are busting a gut with Monday Q's and 36 hole cuts to amass ranking points. How can individual and team events be run concurrently when we had a LIV player admitting that he lagged a put instead of going for it, whilst rhat protected the teams 1 stoke lead on the team event it corrupted the individual event. Good on OWGR for protecting the integrity of the game.

No. Put it further BACK in your stance. Flight it low. 50% swing. By putting it forward he does exactly what he did. Hit behind it and leave it 20 yards short. Refreshing to here some positive comments about LIV , I expect it to only get bigger n better , The PGA tour will lose some major sponsors next year due to the financial crash that’s coming, expect possible some events canceled as well , The team final was great to watch , and the whole LIV experience is way more exciting than your average PGA tour event , so looking forward to seeing how it all goes next year , Joh Rahm I expect will go to LIV , Valderama has already been contracted to hold a LIV event in 2023 , would not surprise me if Rahm was the reason .

I tend to agree with your sentiments. The franchises are what will make or break this series and it's a genius idea, just maybe the names could do with some tweaking. I know Bubba dislikes the "Niblicks" name. I'm surprised DJ traded Talor Gooch after his consistent performances throughout the season, although Peter Uihlein did almost win an event lately. I'd have gotten rid of Pat Perez but I guess nobody would take him lol. And you hit the nail on the head with "I'm a fan of golf". That's kinda gotten lost with the rhetoric coming from Jay Monahan and his acolytes. They talk about "our loyal fans". Are people so blinkered that they're just fans of one tour? Then I guess they don't watch the majors as none of them are run by the PGA Tour. Pure lunacy. I watch more LIV golf as it's a fairer format with the shotgun start. It's also more entertaining; they've taken so much crap that it goes against my sense of fairness (and golf is a sport where players call fouls on themselves and still check their own scorecards, etc) and a round doesn't last for like 8-9 hours lol. Since when did not having a cut and paying all the players for their work become a bad thing? Even if they don't perform well individually they can still help their team. Cutting 24 players from the field after two rounds would screw up the team format completely, so why would they do it? But that doesn't mean I'm going to boycott watching PGA events (although it's now a two tier tour, with the elevated events) as I like watching golf. They just aren't as entertaining for the most part. As for the TV deal, do they need one? Like you say, a lot more people are watching than is being stated. I know they don't have TV deals in the US, UK and possibly other major golfing markets. But I think they're on TV in plenty of countries around the world. I don't really watch much TV anymore; just stream stuff. In the US I imagine only Fox would go with LIV as every other channel seems to love the PGA? That would mean Sky Sports in the UK if Rupert Murdoch still owns those companies. Finally, I'd like to see the teams more balanced. The Ironheads, Torque, Cleeks and the Niblicks are hopelessly bad and the 4 Aces rather too strong. Sure there are major winners all over the place but some of them haven't won one for years whereas DJ and Patrick have won the Masters fairly recently. The Majesticks need some new blood too but I'm not sure which European players are coming to LIV and whether they'd join that team. The most interesting thing is, of course, which players are going to join for 2023. I've heard the same rumours you have. Greg said he wanted 7 new players, most of whom are top 20 (not that the OWGR means anything now while it doesn't give ranking points for LIV events and has destroyed the other tours around the world. Nobody else is allowed to have a flagship event anymore for some reason. The PGA Tour deserves the most points but not THAT many more - it's going to make qualifying for majors almost impossible unless you move to the US). Xander would be a massive loss to the PGA Tour, and Cantlay has been one of the best players over the last two years. I'm really looking forward to the new season but it's nice for the players to get a rest as they're obviously not being made welcome on DP World and are banned from the PGA Tour. It could even prolong their careers.

Good analysis. What people have not realised regards the franchises is that they can be expanded to incorporate womens teams . Each team will have equivalent ladies team and there will be massive joint team competitions down the line . Teams of 4 men 4 women . Men's capts play singles women's capts play singles and 3 mixed foursome making a best of 5 . Possibilities are endless and huge for women's golf.

"hate" where? nothing has come from LIV ...all the noise has come from interviews of pgatour players and their unwarranted opinions. Call as you see/hear it than splash on with insinuations people... This is the GOP "pgatour" talking and being backed by nothing and then taking the stance of the bigger person - the cycle is toxic. pgatour guys have no grudge, they are going to reap even bigger paychecks for not winning tournaments, thanks to LIV, funny how that is...

Lots of good points. I really haven't heard anyone from LIV on the attack since this whole thing started. But I've heard a LOT of attacks from PGAT guys. All that I've heard from LIV is that they designed their product to fit into the ecosystem. Also, LIV players should not be denied OWGR points, especially since they partnered with MENA, which is a OWGR points sanctioned tour that plays 54 hole events. Otherwise, the majors will lose big time. At first, it was all about the source of the money. Then it was "LIV can't grow the game". Then it was just a exhibition tour for washed up players. Geesh.

Hilarious-thanks for sharing and providing a great laugh-we know guys that have cheated in every way you described and more. We actually call one guy “one club length” We get a good laugh now when we play charity events and get absolutely crushed by cheaters. I don’t play in a member guest at one of my clubs as a group who is usually in my flight has won their flight I think 8 of the last ten years and won the whole thing 3 times-they just always seem to play so well just in the tourney….. I agree with EVERYTHING you said. Ditto! As Americans we live in a free society. I love golf and I will watch both tours. I can’t believe that Greg Norman is being treated the way he has been treated. Especially by the R&A at the 150th celebration of the Open Championship. Damn the guy won two Clariet jugs. LIV is a World Tour. So let’s let the world see golf. I live near Sage Valley in Graniteville and I wish they would have a LIV event one day. You two keep up the great work.
