@KING4aday4620 сағат бұрын
Sorry about your Lila. I would put a security camera that records all the time so you can actually see what hangs around your house. I have a night owl security system that records 100 ft of night vision. Put one around the chickens. That way, you can always go back and see the causes of such an animal entering the chicken area.

Ovi I meant to ask you on a previous video but I got sidetracked and forgot... What kind of valve cover do you have on your truck.. it really adds a nice touch... Thx for sharing all your time with us.. Take care my friend and God Bless...
@oviduran5 сағат бұрын
This valve cover is made by a company called Wayne with just two attaching bolts on top. This type of valve cover was made for a 216 cu. in. engine, but it fits a 235 like mine. Later 235's have a different valve cover and those come with four screw holes that you screw into the sides of the head like a modern engine. I bought it this way back in 1999. The way you make it work is by removing the mounting hardware from a 216 head and transferring to a 235. Basically, what the previous owner did was to replace 2 of the rocker shaft bolts with studs leave enough sticking up to hold the cover. BTW Gary, are you from the Philly area?

It does have fading paint and many spots on top but it protects the metal underneath. I got NY plates for it Friday and now to get it inspected next week after I rebuild the carburetor. Hope it doesn't leave the stranded on the way to inspection.

I've been burned on their extra charge for "sexing" which did not include either sexing OR getting the right breed. Two batches of chicks, sexed, all roosters. NOT ONE hen. isa browns? Perhaps sticking to autosex breeds with them is the way to go. we mix most of our own feed, we don't have many chickens and prefer to vary ingredients by season. I sure hopes this works for you, your hens look plump and healthy, and not very bothered by the cold. 35 below??? I'd set up a cheap camping tent in the living room. ❤ Best of luck! Close together, insulated, that's nice. YES! we use fakes. Helps them understand here you want them left If I understand it; the problem as mislabling at the factory, not toxic feed. A few people got the wrong feed. My general opinion is they should've only processed food, but I do INCLUDE it. They need to also get seeds,weeds and bugs.

Hi Ovi, Sorry for your loss!☹️ I believe whataver attacked your chicken possibly jumped from the tree into the chicken's area , or was able to jump onto that silkie coop where they feed since it is close to the fence. You should get wireless cameras installed not only around the chickens but also all around for overall security. I also think at some point you should cover with mesh the top of the chicken area to further secure them.
@milagropagan68112 күн бұрын
So sorry, I realize that you want the chickens to roam freely, but maybe they need to be better secured. Maybe one of those large metal chicken run house that are like a cage. They are tall enough for you to walk in and the chickens can roam freely and are completely protected. Home Depot sells a 20 X 10ft, for about $235.

My condolences...I never ever thought I'd be raising chickens in my later part of life, here I am learning all about chickens, not just any type of chicken but red egg layers...I never imagined that they could bring so much joy. Every day I look forward to being surrounded by them, to watch over them..so on watching your video, I feel for your loss. These little vulnerable animals are so special & they all have their own special personality ...Ricardo from Argentina. All the best.

I am so sorry. Having experienced this loss myself...... I know the feeling. I am so so sorry Most likely birds or you have trees within their area. The only suggestion that I would add would be to possibly add some type of web netting above the chicken coop from your trees that would act as a deterrent It doesn't have to be large webbing it just needs to be something that would deter a flying animal. I am so sorry ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
