Both Subaru and Mazda have joint ventures with Toyota, share tech and manufacturing on some of their models so it stands to say they are all on top for the same reasons.

Hyundai and Chevrolet junk. This bs speaks volumes about how 'good' this video is. A real ranking would contain only cars from Top 5 best cars - thus all Japanese, reliable and having a low TCO.

The first thing that failed on my Toyota was the warranty. The warranty itself is the most unreliable thing about a Toyota. 4xOverland and JoeCadogan may even agree.
Nissan, Infiniti, Chrysler are not shocking to me at all, even Ford, they all suck, Nissan and Infiniti can’t even hold a candle to a Mazda, Kia, Hyundai, Genesis, or Subaru let alone a Honda/Acura or Toyota/Lexus, my mom had one Nissan Sentra she hated it, and switched back to Honda and got a Civic before her health got bad, and a lot of people I know that own Nissan Cvt cars weren’t satisfied with them, and Chrysler is definitely junk, even one of my coworkers got rid of his 200 for a Ford sedan because of it, and Ford itself it’s problem like GM too many transmission and engine related issues because of technology in them, I prefer GM because it’s nicer and more simpler to figure out than Ford, but truthfully out of the car brands I say get Honda, Kia, Hyundai, or Mazda don’t bother buying this junk, now for far as pickup trucks go I’d buy Ford make sure it was built before 2003, anything after that is meh and crappy, GM definitely anything before 2007, after that it was definitely crappy, very few were okay still, Ram anything before the early 2000’s after that is hit or miss, Nissan is a good bet on trucks very dependable for the most part, and Toyota anything before 2022 otherwise steer clear! 🤷🏻♂️

Funny but true story. Test drove a 2006 Toyota Camry and mentioned to the salesperson that I was going to test drive a Hyundai sonata. He proceeded to tell me that sonatas were a piece of c*** and did not compare to toyota's. Told me if I pulled on the door handle of a sonata I'd be lucky if it didn't come off in my hand and at that point he pulled on the door of the Camry and said now this is quality and the handle came off in his hand. I laughed my ass off as I was walking away from the dealership. Bought Hyundai Azera.Ten years of trouble free driving.

Mazda is number 1 in my mind! Their annual “Maintenance Costs” are the LOWEST in the Auto Industry! I’ve owned 9 different Mazda’s over the years and have never had a breakdown that needed repairs! Oil changes and tires are the only things I’ve had to pay for during those years!

Subarus SUCK! Transmissions, Head Gaskets. Are you serious, Subaru is better than a Toyota? Smoke another bowl dude. Do a trade-in evaluation, that will prove the point. At 100k Miles a Subaru is a major repair bill waiting to pounce.

Too bad Honda has gone down hill. Do your research. H&K? Sure. But so much regret by some previous owners who were financially devastated by poorly engineered GDI engines. And so it goes. Good luck consumers.

Very shallow knowledge of the automotive industry. Lexus and Toyota are making the most reliable cars and with the lowest TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), having a comfortable advance over the followers (all Japanese). Mazda is the closest, having probably the best quality/price ratio (it is positioned premium, with an overall quality close to the entry luxury Lexus, but with a pricing close to the upper mass-market Toyota), due to very efficient SkyActive engines (especially G series), excellent handling, beautiful design etc. Subaru is the next, based on its unique SAWD, boxer engines, rugged style. Both Mazda and Subaru have Toyota as a minority shareholder, thus this Japanese keiretsu owns the best cars top. Honda and Acura are following, at some distance (they used to be better, but in the last years they slipped in rankings), due to performant engines, low TCO etc. Still Toyota reigns as the lowest TCO brand and #2 in reliability and Lexus as the most reliable brand and #3 in low TCO, according to Consumer Reports annual surveys - and 😊I am writing this again - at a very comfortable distance over the other Japanese top brands.

Toyota has screwed up their Tundras.
@codincoman90192 күн бұрын
@scottferris6309 True, they have issues - and not only with Tundra - due to the use of turbo, start/stop etc., trying to comply with the dumb EPA, CAFE etc. regulations (that hopefully Trump will remove). But overall (Toyota has tens of models) the #1 in low TCO and the #2 in reliability (after its entry luxury brand, Lexus) is still at a comfortable distance from its keiretsu associates that were presented here as better than Toyota - which is a false claim, according to the statistics from Consumer Reports, ISeeCars, CarEdge, to car experts such as Savagegeese, The Car Care Nut, to experienced fleet managers, to my own experience etc. The only fair point is that you should research and buy the leaders of the segments satisfying your needs (not wants, not likes). Thus, currently I am driving a Mazda Miata ND2 RF G-184, a Suzuki Jimny LCV, a Lexus UX 250h F Sport and some other segment leaders (but no Toyota yet).

I have had three different model new VW’s then a Honda CRV for 4 years and now the latest model CRV and I rate it the best car I have owned. Great handling, ride and economy on rough Queensland, Australia roads. All the controls are so functional and simple to operate and nothing superfluous like the VW’s. Just had my first service for $199 Au. My VW’s were like $400 to $600 Au. The new base model CRV has more features than the previous CRV which was second from the top of the range. A very happy Honda owner.
