The resume section of the website is not working. Any help with that? Would love a resume edit.

Trauma = 80 hour work weeks. Make sure to have a comfy car for the ER cases.

@@francophysique5192 It's just up to you, it's a "rewarding" career, but Sales is brutal on your mental health. Unless you're a bit of a sociopath and narcissist, it's really, really hard to stay on top. You have to have a "I hate to lose, rather than love to win" attitude 24/7. I've been in sales for almost a decade and had several panic attacks a few years ago... finally decided that A. I'm not built like that and B. It's not worth it to me. I have a killer sales mentor that took me under his wing years ago and within 4 years he was a VP of Sales over 3 properties in timeshare... he can never turn it off. He's in sales mode from the moment he wakes up until he goes to sleep. He timeshare's his family. The world revolves around him and nothing will ever change that. He's immune to external criticism, nothing deters him. It's crazy.

@@francophysique5192 Oh, what company is it with? That makes a big difference. Stryker will work you into the ground, but it's killer on a resume for future positions.

I plan to do Trauma or Spine for a few years before jumping... but no family here. I've heard horror stories. Average burnout is under a year no?

I am a physical therapist of 5+ years and I started and have been running my own practice for about a year now which has provided me with sales experience. I want to pursue being a medical device rep ideally in orthopedics/joint replacement. Should I apply for a sales rep role or an associate role?

Hi Jarod, thanks for reaching out. I would recommend applying for an Associate Role.

I am vehemently impressed with the quality of advice & insight that Wade has provided. Such genuine compassion for his work! Without a doubt- he is one of the most professional, thorough, and efficient individuals that I have the pleasure of being acquainted with.
