The SYNC protocol used by the mobile apps, is not compatible with CarPlay or Android Auto. They work one or the other - or Carplay/ Android Auto, or the mobile apps like Ford DashCam. Unfortunately. For that reason there will not be a fix for this. Sorry.

There's no back light detailed connection because there is none :)). All the connections are made on the MediaNAV connector.

This is the only connection type accepted By Dacia/ Renault. Any other connection type or points will void the warranty. You can connect another DVR however you want, but if you want to install this accessory and want to keep your warranty too, this is the only way to do it.

Din pacate, atata timp cat unitatile DVR sunt vandute exclusiv prin reteaua Dacia/ Renault, nici o modificare nu poate fi facuta fara acordul lor.

Camera se poate instala, indiferent ce telefon ai, aplicatia nu mai functioneaza. Din pacate, orice actualizare de aplicatie se poate face numai cu acordul Renault. Toate bune!

A universal device can be installed in any way you want (be careful, you may wave some warranties - for the device, car, etc...), but the Ford DashCam DVR can be installed ONLY in this way. if you want to retain the integrity and warranty of the car/ DVR ;).

You have to keep in mind that this video is an addition to the official Dacia install guide for this accessories. Actually you should be able to install this, ONLY using that guide. The phone is connecting simultaneously VIA BT with the SYNC also to the DashCam(BLE). Functions available: - Record - Stop - Event - Snapshot - Some setups like CRash/ Park sensot activate/ deactivate, video clip or Event length, etc

@@falcon_tech thanks for the reply, however with the latest ios and sync 3 update app link doesn’t seems to be working for fordpass not sure about dashcam app also you guys are aware about parking surveillance kit available for 70mai and DDPAI cameras can’t this be used with this dashcam, it’ll help to avoid wire crimping/chipping.

The Ford DashCam app ONLY work with this camera. No other app, either, will work with this camera. The SYNC - DashCam connection is only possible in this sole combination Ford DashCam app with Ford DashCam DVR. In the situation you have this camera and SYNC connection do not work, please uninstall the phone app and re install it. If still doesn't work, please send me details: videos, pictures, screen captures, anything you may think of, at [email protected] On the other hand the cameras you mentioned are much cheaper for a reason ;). I do not know for sure, but it should! This device requires professional authorized installation.

Please uninstall the app and reinstall it. Do not forget to erase the BT pairing from settings before attempting to pair the DashCam again.

The problem is that no green LED appears on the dashcam, only a blue LED, a red LED and a magenta LED appear. The dashcam is paired with the mobile phone through Wi-Fi with the password 12345678. But with the mobile phone via Bluetooth it is not possible to connect. Why is there no green led on the dashcam? Greetings.

A, ok, is the old model. Check the following: - Is the DVR recording? - check with a computer. - Format the SD Card with the DVR. - Reset the DVR - is a hidden button on DVR.

I think it is the new model (8201713925) and I have already tried to format the microSD card, but nothing happens, then the dashcam does not recognize it.

Uninstalling? Why? Anyway, there's not only time, but also some parts that may be needed. I don't know how the Ford is counting all of that, but at my company, uninstalling a device costs about half from installation price +/-.

That's the ignition wire. The official Ford approved wire connection method is to use a butt splice. In this video is presented the official Ford installation for this product.

Hi, there's a GPS antenna built in and the GPS position (and the speed) should appear shortly after you start the engine. There's no other connections needed.

If the coordinates do not appear, the unit may be defective. Have the DVR checked.
