Yep still looks exactly the same in 2024. Not a single brick has been laid. 😢

That didn't age well. Yes Corby improved but nowhere close to 50k homes and 47k jobs by 2021.

This will be a disaster for the Sappers and Ripon itself- the impact on income for the city will be massive- I can appreciate the redevelopment of Deverell barracks is ok- unless that could be a facility for asylum seekers…. But Claro is in a much better condition

All you do is destroy rural communities by building houses that are without the new infrastructure it requires. I am disgusted by the new 4000 home extension to Attleborough in Norfolk that will more than double the population size of this rural town. I am now being forced to move due to the years ahead of disruption that will be caused and the undesirables that will inevitably be placed in these homes. The government is a corrupt cesspit of scum...with a 1000 illegals coming into the UK it is no wonder we need more homes. You have destroyed this country...utterly destroyed it. I hope you are all proud of yourselves. With all the green crap you go on about you put a petrol station in the middle of a new estate and no electric car hook ups on the new homes. You are all hypocrites. With 8000 homeless vets on the streets you give houses to people that were not even born here. You make me sick.

Look at the estates you've been involved in, all you do is put as many houses in what was once a field. You are ruined the rural theme and turned it into a concrete jungle. All you lot care about is Money, all the developments around crawley are ugly without considering the environment and local habitats.

10% biodiversity net gain? Absolute tosh, it never is. Get the lowest bidder to do the landscaping work. The required knowledge and skill level is irrelevant, just all about the bottom line! Keep planting those dead trees like other developments, with no clue about after care.

Will the proposed highways changes - particularly to Clotherholme Road and Kirkby Road - be made BEFORE the works are started to help minimise the risks mentioned above?

I think Ripon residents would also like to hear about how access to the site will be managed DURING the 15years of construction, and how the associated risks and chaos will be mitigated.

Building so many houses all over the UK but where's the bloody roads? Building 10k houses in Northstowe would mean 15k extra cars. Really? This country sucks.

Nobody wants these new developments. The same is happening all over the country, Wanton destruction of Historic places, Ancient Woodland, and Greenbelt land. All for the sake of lining the pockets of the greedy developers and corrupt Councils.

They have ruined a beautiful rural area full of deer, pheasant and plants. The houses have been thrown up and look shit. All higgledy-piggledy like something built of lego! !!!

Why did you do that? Surely you could of just donated them to a war museum. They would of just been lying around outside corroding since like 1945. It's not like a terrorist can just steal them on site and use them to do illegal practices.

Hard to believe that this is the Neighborhood that Cheryl Ann Tweedy grew up in and did so well as a member of Girls Aloud. So many Boy Band/Girl Group Icons grew up in Low Income Housing but still perservered. Jordan & Jon Knight of New Kids On The Block lived in a House but only used The Living Room because it would have been to expensive to put on all of the lights. Donnie Wahlberg lived in a Third Floor Walkup with his Brothers & Sisters while New Edition grew up in Roxbury, Ma., that was a predominately Black Neighborhood but they all managed to get out some way or another.

Such a crime that so much history is going to be lost. I feel ww2 airfields are sacred. The last place many men, young and old last stepped foot.

Bang goes history then!! My grandfather was a proud member of RAF 7 Squadron during 1941 in ww2. He flew in and out of that base night after night, now it will be a see of houses with no plans to even remember what went on there during the war! I am gutted and feel there should be something left of the airbase for generations to come. I have lots of pictures of Short Stirling bombers at RAF Oakington and its a shame to see this development wipe out the history of my grandfathers friends who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

by ensuring that sustainable management of the environment around developments is put in place , this helps build strong , cohesive communities. HCA should encourage developers and local authorities as part of the planning process to ensure correct , funded , methods are in place for management of the public realm. if the right building blocks are in place then communities can take the 'emotional ' ownership of their environment.

We’ve looked into this and found the HCA (formerly the Housing Corporation) allocated grant funding for Darwin Court in 1999/2000. It would not have been our role to influence selection of the new tenants, but we were aware that the intention was to house older people. We’ve passed your comments on to Peabody but feel free to contact the London office of the HCA if you wish - the contacts can be found on our website.
