Thank you for your great video!! Getting ready to get the standard tinted F4 for my 2004 wing. Question about cleaning; What would you suggest cleaning with when on a long trip dealing with all the bugs? I usually use quick detailer and high quality microfiber such as Cobra for cleaning / scrubbing between gas stops. As always, Thank You for all your awesome vid's!! 👍

Beauty of the F4 you can safely use Paper towels. So get you a bottle of the F4 cleaner throw in bike and use some paper towels from a gas station and good to go!

How do you get rid of water spots using water 😂 black tip haha
Had Bristones as factory O.E. set ups in the 80's on new cruisers . Put Bridgestones on GL1200's in 2003 . They were all great for how i rode back then. Put an E3 front on a GL1500 in 2006 and hated it because it would never bite on curves or on ramps on clezn dry pavement . Just this year put a matched set of E4's on my GL1500 ..... loved the bite on the pavemeent . However , at only 300 mi the front developed a buzz in the handle bars. Checked bearings , calipers and pads , the forks had new progressives pro installed at the same time as the pro mounted tires. Discovered a slight "inverted bump"" in the tread on the left half. Did some research and found a common issue with this occurance. Parked the bike and the next sunday took it out for an approx 200 mi ride. On curves it felt like the bike was not following the line i was riding. Checked the rear this time and it has a 5/16 or more hop in the tread about 1/5 around the circumference of the tire . Sheesh . Checked both beads for mismounts and they both appear to be mounted correctly. Tomorrow monday i am dropping it off and they are going to address the tires with their Dunlop rep when the individual comes in over the next month. In the interim i am not going to take any chances being away from home on a Sunday standed or worse. So it's just as well if its not accessible to use I'm obviously not going to get a refund, so I'll be keeping an eye on them if i get warranty replacements. If they don't approve new tires undr warranty , I'll be switching to the newer Bridgestone Exedra MAX model . I've heard slippery stories about the BT models ( not that that line is meant for a Wing ) but often you would naturally have to assume that it would be close in characteristics to most models in the same brand . I like curves and round-a-bouts , so i want some tire bite . Side note - Eventhough the E4 is made in the USA , Dunlop - Goodyear is now owned by a chinese rubber co. I can't help think that ALL these E4 left side of the tire issues are all a result of the same deficiency at the manufacturing level. There is something wrong somewhere .... why would ALL these left side tire issues with the E4 be so plentiful. For anyone that says they seem to slide out....or not follow their intended line , i firmly believe they are experiencing the same E4 issue i literally just started having . When i had my first 4 rides on the new E4 tires they were Awesome.... but quicky went down hill ... fast . There is a manufacturing issue OR a engineering / design issue. Othrwise , the E4 would be , i think a supreme tire to beat . ... but not currently ..... and its costing me money . .

The only reason I want to remove my rear tire is for the exact reason you mention at the 6:25 mark...to shine that rim! My rim looks like 40 miles of bad road right now (kind of like the cast of "The View") and I really need to shine it up. It looks pitted and nasty, but I hope that's just surface gunk. If not, I'll just have to get me some new rims!!

Thanks. Worked like a charm. Would like to add that for some reason the original bushing had the hole goes all the way through thus allowing the loose handle. The replacement bushing hole doesn't go through all the way letting the cable/plunger to push against the back thus much more fitting and no more loose fitting. I suspect the bushing is wearing of and the hole gets punched through. Nevertheless, great video. Thanks.

Mike, I’ll be 70 in a couple months. I rarely, if ever, have those ‘medical issue’ talks with my friends. My wife and I occasionally discuss these things. Maybe, the best thing to do is answer a question with a question and just change the subject. Most people pounce on answering a question! Take care and be safe out there

Mike - hilarious! I swear, when I turned 60 there was an email that went out to doctors I didn't know existed, that wanted to check things I didn't know existed, in places I didn't know I had! I think there's something out there that keeps their pipeline going! After all, they need to pay off those high med school debts! When we were young, the conversations always turned to the husbands gas. Now it turns to meds and Dr's visits. That'll wear off, especially if you're relatively healthy and don't make all those visits. Yes, routine checks are important, but I'm with you brother, I don't focus on the health condition of my peers. If it turns to that, I go find someone else if we're in a group setting, to talk to, or something else to do. I'm blessed, I have exercised since I was 16 years old starting out as a runner, and ran long distances until the knees couldn't handle it anymore. Biking took over, and now I'm at a gym M-F at 5:30AM before work. Never was, and never will be a Charlie Atlas and that's not the goal. Motion is the potion that keeps us young and healthy. No meds here other than multi vitamin (for over 50 of course!). I hope you shot well at pool!
@MemphisMike9016 ай бұрын
That is very impressive for no meds at your age. I guess 40 yrs at UPS kept my weight down at least. Usually walk 5-6 x’s/ week at 45mins to 1hr. And sometimes do that twice!
@jimcarleton6 ай бұрын
@@MemphisMike901 Yes, I'm 62. We're just carbon copies of our parents waiting to develop. However, I believe lifestyle choices have an impact on our wellness. A 45 - 60 minute walk is around 3 miles each time and that's awesome. Your work at UPS definitely kept you in shape. Another part of being at the gym so early is the fellowship that goes along with that. The mental gymnastics, laughter and general BS is worth its weight in gold. Some people pay a therapist big bucks to get that kind of mental stimulation, hell, just show up at your local rec center and engage with new friends! Out of our early morning group, I'm the youngest and the only one not retired. Yet, those guys (and gals) still show up that early in the morning. There's something to it!
