If you can clear the first obstacle that tests your break over clearance, then you won't have issues with 2wd IMO.

A fun experiment is to try to drive slowly up an impossibly steep icy hill. Eventually all 4 tires will start spinning together like it had lockers and you just slide back down the hill

4th gens didn't have ATRAC. Its just the traction control. I think ATRAC was on the 5th gens. Basically the same think though

I've been using a Samsung 35E and it's had no problems. Decent discharge and great up time. Haven't used others though

Anything over 3000mAh. Now-days they can handle the discharge no matter the brand.

Molicel 2800 or 3000 Mah 35a discharge 18650 battery is what I use, not easy to get though unless you are determined.

Best way I found to avoid rubbing pads against the rotor is first not to tight that hard the wheel quick release in the first place and then to manually align the caliper looking down between the pads and the disk. It helps if you only finger-tight the caliper or do one bolt and then the other and the final squeeze is done gently.
