Good video 💪thinking about getting my wife a peddle kayak is there a lot of resistance on the peddles while peddling?

Not if your peddling slow. The harder you peddle the faster you go. If yall want to try it out one day, let me know.

Awesome day out there in an awesome location. I'd have called that buffalo a carp too. They look a lot alike. Not sure I heard right, but when you measured it, did you say it was 11"? That can't be right, it was much bigger than that. Great job with the video. Keep it up. You'll get that carp!

I have an Oldtown 120 sportsman pdl which I just bought after owning 3 powerboats over the last 40 years. I love boats but had to get away from the high storage and maintenance costs for a while but I’ll eventually own both agin at some point .

I can see storage would be very expensive if you didn't have the option for it at home. Thanks for your input!

Your thumbnail spooked me, because I just bought my OT Pdl 106 in July. Oh no, what did I miss? But I see your point and don't have those problems. I can get it on top of my mini-van. And I prefer smaller lakes, of which Minnesota has a few. After a life of working with machinery, I don't want to hear a motor. The only annoying thing is the time it takes to break it down to put on the van, and then to put it back together. But I figure I'll get faster when I get a system. I'm still doing some kind of modification between every trip, so I've never set it up the same way twice. I guess mechanics don't retire, we just find something new to work on.

That's awesome, it is a amazing kayak. Hope you have many fun adventures on it! Thank you for sharing your input on it ❤❤

Those are pretty much the best kayaks on the planet. My nephew has the other one and you’re right you damn near need a trailer and my nephew is 6’ 3” I’m 5’ 11” we’re pretty good size boys and They are heavy duty and they are heavy by yourself I know they have that little drag plate back there, but it won’t last long. I like your overview.
@Angiefishing110 күн бұрын
Thank you, it's by far the best yak I ever owned! But I hate my limitations with any kayak. I want to go explore and fish so many places I can't get too on the Tn river or my local lake. Thanks for commenting ❤
@pointblankokc10 күн бұрын
Pretty much the same opinion I have. My wife and brother n law got kayaks so I figured why not, i'll start fishing again. bought my Vibe Shearwater with a motor and all that junk and it was like fishing out of a coffin. That lasted about 6 months. Sold my kayak and bought a used 17' boat with a 60hp motor and couldn't be happier. I was 4 grand into the kayak and was only 2 grand more to buy my boat.
@Angiefishing110 күн бұрын
Lol fishing out of a coffin! I think a lot of people possibly start with kayaks and eventually go to a boat if they like fishing. I see it on marketplace all the time, for sale kayak, bought a boat. But some stay with the yaks. Thanks for watching !
