I was 5 when this song was first released in 1966 and didn't really understand the story behind the song Fast forward to 1969 at 8 while Listening to The Champ the Penny finally dropped as how to listen to and understand the story being told via certain voice's of which Webb Piece not only posessed but used it to present the lyrics behind the stories being narrated the only way a song that combined with voices that sound almost too good to be true thanks to the man that was Webb Piece 😅

This is a really nice version of this song my son sent to me I think he likes to find something to compare to my favorite singer Angelina Jordan who sang this in 2022 in her kongberg concert she is a once in a lifetime talent. But both of these singers do a great job it's a tough to compare to AJ who is world class.
