Could we do that with the Headlights Knob?

Theres videos online for the headlight knob, it twists and the whole module needs to be replaced

It only goes on one way. Why positioning it?. My air flow mode was working backwards. I had to fix it from the back of the climate control. Not just by setting the knob. . Didn't wanted to turn any other way . Can only turn when its in one way

I was really looking to do this but just got a polo for the good lady and had the parts to do this in my shed.All done in 10mins thanks.
