I wasn't sure where does the first music of Toad Town plays before Red Streamer until I realized you have to beat the Paper Macho Goombas before clearing the Red Streamer.

I love how the flute player has always been present in every alliteration of the theme. It’s like the musician has always been there from the very beginning, watching you slowly restoring the town to its former glory. Even in the final alliteration, where the flute gets overwhelmed from the other instruments you can still hear it if you listen hard enough. From start to end, this musician will always be there, playing that flute for all to hear.

this is not about paper mario but still kinda related: In the concept art book for mario odyssey there's a scrapped concept for an "evolving musician NPC" in new donk city. it was supposed to be a kid NPC that you could help pick an instrument for or something like that, and as you progressed trough the game past that point, if you went back to new donk city, the NPC would be practicing the instrument, slowly getting better at it, and eventually when you finish the game he would master the instrument and appear playing different mario songs and soloing over the NDC music. I just thought that was kinda sweet and wanted to share it. it's a shame it didn't get to be in the game but i can understand why.

The voices in the background remind me of the final battle in a link between worlds. Pretty nice considering its a sequel to that game.

I know people would be hard-pressed to call this the best Paper Mario unlike the original 2000s trilogy prior to the disastrous Sticker Star; but from what I’d argue, this Switch installment at least did something better than its two predecessors in comparison albeit (again) not anywhere near on par with the original 2000s trilogy at the end of the day.

It’s so beautiful how, as you save toads, destroy streamers, and progress through the game, the music builds up and gains instruments to turn into a majestic theme. Definitely one of my favorite things in this game’s music, it feels great.
