I’m interested in one, but it looks like the clear finish that is sprayed on it is uneven and may have bubbles in it. Like they skipped the final step of sanding and polishing.

This is an amazing board! I've just received mine a few days ago and I am super impressed with everything: the build quality, the sound of the dice & checkers hitting the frame and the superb leather on the exterior of this board. Besides, the packaging was just as great: the board was protected with bubble wrap and this whole thing was placed in a sturdy wooden box (one needs pliers to open it up!). FMGammon was also able to create a custom magnetic surface according to my wishes and the communication was excellent from start to finish. I recommend this brand to every serious backgammon player! 10/10.

I wouldn’t worry about these boards either. I have the Talat board with five surfaces and love it. FMGAMMON has done a fantastic job with these boards.

Love the MagFit system, very nice! FM Gammon has THE BEST backgammon boards and checkers in the world!

Very informative video, Onur! Great job. What would you say to those backgammon enthusiasts that are concerned by the presence of magnetic materials in FM boards? I’ve had a few people raise concerns, which I think are unfounded. Nothing in the board, as far as I know, would allow someone to effectively cheat with magnetic or ‘loaded’ dice. Keep up the good work! ✨🎲🎲✨🎈

Thanks for your comments Justin. We want to make it clear that the metallic piece is attached throughout the board and it’s uniform. The magnetic puck that is used to pull the material, shouldn’t be near the board during play if TD's are concerned about it. The last but not the least, We always encourage the use of precision dice in tourneys as they are totally unaffected by the presence of the metallic surface in the board. The precision dice are usually transparent, to show that they are not loaded at all. We hope this response clarifies all the concerns

This is a beautiful board! Good presentation, though maybe not as good as Justin's. I love the color of the beechwood with the green and black fields. Well done, FMGammon!

@@kitsune4635 That’s a very good question! I’m not exactly sure, so it may come down to the exterior, as both boards have interchangeable playing surfaces. I would check the board specs on the FM website, and go with your gut. I will say that Onur is a super cool dude. I played doubles with him in Istanbul last year. He’s a good friend and player. 🤘🏼💭🎲🎲✨

@@kitsune4635 I believe they are both made out of beechwood, but I think the Onur board has a leather exterior, and perhaps a slightly darker finish to the wood? Or maybe the leather makes it look darker. I'm not sure, but I think any differences are very minor.
