Yeah so when i went , put me out last in the FF as i complained earlier the fiesta steering was dangerous , showed the instructor how it veered left if you took hands off the wheel and hit the brakes hard into the hairpin !!! He was not impressed with my impeccable heel+toe downshifts or my left foot braking dabs to make sure there was actually brakes there before throwing the anchors out at the last meter , way hey. Overtook the other 5 formula first or FF cars on the first lap, caught them up again on my 5th lap and sneaked an extra one in at the tail of the slow train., so i got 6 laps . Bloody vibrations from out of balance flat spotted tyres , 4200 revlimit ment it was either flat on the limiter round clarks (after the chicane) or feather in 4th and then huge sideways moment when i tried flat in 4th , heh heh ,

Hey Iain, I'm trying to recreate the car in a sim before I head to knockhill myself, do you need the redline of the car, or which RPM you shifted at? Thank you

Hi there, Thanks for watching! This was my dad driving and what u can see is all I can see unfortunately. What I can tell you is it is a 4 speed gearbox, fairly normal road tyres, as in not slicks, and once u leave the pits and have accelerated past 2nd gear u do most of the driving between 3rd and 4th gear. Hope that helps Are u doing the single seater race experience?

Hi Iain, could you advise what section/area/locations of the Thames you were when you made your Le Boat Thames Holiday 2021 video? My wife and myself have a similar Le Boat holiday booked soon. Thanks in advance. Ken

Hi Ken, This might be a long one I'm afraid!!! We left from Bensons and headed up river as far as Oxford then turned around and made it as far down river as Henley. This was over a week and we felt was a pace for us getting the most of driving the boat without feeling we were running out of time. Day 1: pick up boat and motored up to above Day Lock and "wild moored" which was harrowing for my first time but take ur time and if u pick a good spot it's really cool Day 2: continued up river, lunch in abingdon, a lovely town with a nice vibe in the sun, then all the way to Oxford for the night. Day 3: back to Benson for the night Day 4: motor to down stream off Whitchurch and again can wild Moor here. We stopped off at the Tesco in Reading which can be accessed by mooring along the banks next to it Day 5: motor to Henley for the night. Only place we had to pay but its a good turning point with plenty off food options

If you have boated before you will be fine but if its ur first time 2 things to keep in mind. 1- don't go faster, when mooring especially, than ur willing to hit something 2- life jackets don't look cool, and I am guilty of not wearing them but if ur new u will hit something at some point, and that's okay, but u really don't want to go for a surprise swim in a lock or bank ect, fully clothed without it!!!

@@whitebaron1993 Good evening Iain, may I sincerely thank you for taking the time to compose such a thorough response! I was both surprised and very grateful that you did. Far from being seasoned sailers we have holidayed previously with Le Boat in France and on the Norfolk Broads too. Your advice and detailed comments are very well received and if I may draw comparison of when Jacqui and myself first “wild moored” (love the term!) we didn’t sleep very well (too many horror movies!) I feel I owe you something for taking the trouble to respond, what a good bloke! We were heading for the Caledonian/ Loch Ness area for peace and tranquillity (Scotland is our favourite place) however Le Boat only had a 50 year old rusty tub without power!! Anyway I am going to plot a route (away from the Smoke!) based on your advice. Sincere thanks Iain, Regards Jacqui & Ken

@@kencheckley285 glad I could help!! I find that the information on things like the Thames and I imagine ur previous boating really only gives this vibe of "easy living" but no real info (side note we got a book called "the river thames book" by Chris Cove Smith it is.... Information dense shall we say... Sometimes to its detriment but if u can figure out how to use it, it give great information on which side of Islands to go, sunken boats to avoid, aproches to locks all the stuff the frankly pitifully info we received from le boat didn't mention) As u might have seen from my other videos I too have a soft spot for the caledonian canal and use a company called Caley Cruisers based in Inverness which I thoroughly recommend! They have a good range of boats suited for Loch ness as some of the Le boats can be a tad..... Barge-esc for an open body of water such as the Lochs of the canal

@@whitebaron1993 Good morning Iain, Thanks for the further advice. I think we will try and head for the Benson end of the Thames if time permits, we prefer quiet places/uncrowded areas I gather much like yourself. Yes regarding Caley cruisers, I also looked them up and I agree the website and reviews all look very professional and I did approach them for a boat but unfortunately they were fully booked, I will be booking with them for next year. I’ll research the book you bought but probably not enough time other than Waterstones Books as we collect the Boat on Monday! I recall on your “speeded up video” (great music may I add) that you appeared at one point to turn off the main river and travel down a very quiet and somewhat narrow leafy stretch of river with locks, do you recall the location? Don’t worry if not just curious Iain. Enjoy your Bank Holiday. V.Best Ken & Jacqui

Are those 2 seater karts?
@whitebaron19933 жыл бұрын
yeh, Tandem 200cc karts on track with the 200cc single seaters there is also the tandem 200cc as well as 120cc "Kadet karts" not a huge challenge overtaking but really good fun to navigate especially as you never know what the kadet karts will do next :D
@athlete353923 жыл бұрын
@@whitebaron1993 Ah yes the moving chicanes. A real test would be to see who can get the fastest laptimes in the tandem karts with passenger swapping driver and passenger, might need more than 200cc though.

What model is the rc boat model? Where I can buy it?
@whitebaron19935 жыл бұрын
Hey, They are sold under loads of different names on ebay and amazon I bought mine on Amazon UK and it was called "Torro U001" which is no longer available. A quick look on Amazon UK shows the same boat named "BeeXop RC boat H100" now It's a good laugh for not a huge amount of money, Deffo recommend getting more batteries though

Thank you for the video. Are you required to wear a life jacket outside of the boat? Was the boat governed? Is that boat company policy or Scotland water rules? Thanks.
@whitebaron19937 жыл бұрын
godangerdad Hi there, thanks for checking out my video. For life jackets the official word is at all times when on deck and I shall say no more. The boat is not governed but it tops out (at 3500rpm) at 8 mph(6knts) which is plenty fast enough as they are cruisers not speed boats :L Speed limit on canal sections is 6mph (~2000rpm) and that is set by the Scottish canal network. Hope this helps ☺️
