I don't miss a single episode, I try to support the artist and the channel with a like 👍, I like this Mediterranean siren, I also see that the author is not spoiled yet, fortunately, and respects the time and aspirations of the viewer, describing everything on the shelves, I do not dare to direct the author in the direction I need, but as a software developer I would like more topics in this direction, I understand that this is a narrowly specialized direction and the audience is smaller, but excuse me, give me IT, AI, software, hardware, security in the Internet and a general high tech dictionary. Спасибо за внимание!

Thank you so much for your kind words and support, Artem! It means a lot to know you enjoy my content and find it valuable. I appreciate your suggestion about focusing on IT, AI, and tech-related topics-it's a great idea, and I'll definitely think about incorporating some tech vocabulary and idioms into future videos. Stay tuned, and thanks again for being an awesome viewer!

Hey Fransy! So, since I found your channel, I signed up immediately, as my level of English was very low and I had already given up on studying English, but you, with great content and a different teaching style, encouraged me and I ended up returning to studying the English language. Nowadays, I can get in touch with people who speak English reasonably well and every day I feel more confident and encouraged to continue studying English! All this due to your channel and the excellent English teacher you demonstrate to be with your way of being and teaching style, which is easy and enjoyable to learn at any time and anywhere. Congrats! Keep it up!

Hello Fransy I memorize vocabulary but after a few days i forget it. Although I remember the words, I am still struggling to use them properly. Could you please make a specific video about this problem? how can i overcome it??🥲
@vogditisАй бұрын
Memorization doesn't work. You have to watch more content which you can understand, but only watching doesn't maintain writing and speaking. You have to find regular practice in your second language, which isn't one of the easiest tasks.
@fransyfancyenglishАй бұрын
Hello! That’s a very interesting topic, and I’m glad you brought it up. It sounds like the vocabulary you’ve been learning is passive, meaning you recognize the words but struggle to use them actively. To turn passive vocabulary into active vocabulary, you need to use it in context-either by speaking or writing. Try creating sentences, short stories, or even practice conversations with the words you learn. You could also record yourself using them or discuss a topic where these words fit. I’ll definitely consider making a video to dive deeper into this problem and share more practical tips. Thanks for the suggestion!
@fransyfancyenglishАй бұрын
Precisely!
@vogditisАй бұрын
Just don't expect miracles when it comes to improving your second language in a short period of time. A second language is a similar system to our native language. When we're no longer children, the problem is how to maintain our knowledge without using it every day.
@vogditisАй бұрын
I spoke my first words in English when I was 35 years old. Until that age, I didn't know that I could understand native speakers of English and that I could speak myself. At school, I studied Latvian (native language), Russian and German. I remember an episode when I heard the word "grab" from the shop assistant in Ireland. She told me to go and grab some things worth 3 euros to get 50 euros together to get some benefits.
@fransyfancyenglishАй бұрын
Hey, Vogditis. Starting English at 35 and already out there 'grabbing' deals in Ireland. Sounds like you've mastered both the language and the art of saving money!
@vogditisАй бұрын
@@fransyfancyenglish I lived in Ireland for 16 years and there was a deal of 10 Euros off 50. It is a long story, but English is my fourth language, which I accidentally picked up in my youth. When I was 16-17, I lived in a place where American movies were shown in two languages. English was hidden under Russian. However, watching movies was not enough to learn grammar, because I talked to some viewers of those movies. Without realizing that I had a new language, I tried for 2 months to make a program in English command for my old computer in my youth. To recover simila language in adulthood took me 18 years to get grammar. I was spoken all those years without grammar....

“Grab fun with Fransy’s English lessons twice a week”; am I right in saying so, Ms. Fransy?
@fransyfancyenglishАй бұрын
Thank you, Ramon! I'm so happy you enjoyed the short class. As for your original sentence, "grab fun" isn't a common expression in English. While it's understood in casual speech, it might sound a bit awkward. A more natural phrase would be: "Have fun with Fransy's English lessons twice a week!" "Get some fun with Fransy's English lessons twice a week!"

Also sometimes they say no point seven for 0.7
@fransyfancyenglishАй бұрын
Hello, Batu. We don’t typically say "no point seven" in English. Instead, we'd say "zero point seven" or "point seven" when referring to a decimal. So, for example, "0.7" would be read as "zero point seven" or simply "point seven" in casual contexts. Is this what you mean?

That was a brilliant lesson indeed, FFE; much needed, so to say. Thanks immensely. Brevity of the video also generated attraction to have a go at watching it. Please let me know if there are two or more zeroes side by side in a phone or mobile number, do we say ‘oh’ as many times, or, do we adopt a different way then?
@fransyfancyenglish2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you found the lesson helpful and engaging. As for your question about numbers, let me clarify: When there are two or more zeros in a phone or mobile number, you can say "double zero" or even "triple zero" for three consecutive zeros. Saying "oh" repeatedly is less common because it can sound confusing. Here's an example: Standard way: 800-005-1000 → "Eight hundred, double zero five, one thousand." Alternative: 800-005-1000 → "Eight zero zero, zero zero five, one zero zero zero." Both ways work; it depends on personal preference or regional norms.

Of the idioms you discussed, the last one, that is, “to have whale of a time”, attracted my attention. The other idioms were familiar to me already. And as you have sought at the end of the video, the two very common idioms that you may also be most probably aware of, are: 1. “a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush”, signifying the importance of surety over dubiety/uncertainty; 2. “to count the chickens before they are hatched”, meaning, expecting the result of an action immediately, without allowing for the gestation time.
