@@cayman9815 7xx horsepower and 900NM are very easy to handle at the Nordschleife. Everybody can do it 😋 just joking.. the car is very well balanced but you still have to manage the power. Its not as easy as it looks 😉

@@skydriver2639 Mercedes has an update for this. Its not slipping, gear selection is slightly delayed during shift under maximum torqueload.

Wow, was für eine tolle Runde. Das Fahrwerk haben die Jungs sehr gut abgestimmt. Der Wagen liegt sehr ruhig was man auf dem Video sehen kann. Sehr schnelle Kurvengeschwindigkeiten mit einer sehr stabilen Lage. Top gefahren. Glückwunsch zu der tollen Zeit mit feuchten Stellen. Gruß Sven

@@JCviggen1 they have 2 groups for amateurs and experts :) this was session start for experts. They wait until every car of the other group left the track for safety. Very well organized trackday as always at ESC.

@@JCviggen1 yes, its a little bit more expensive but you always have perfect organization, very high safety standards, the best instructors you can get and only a fraction of cars in comparison to other events. I never had one single yellow or red flag in any of their events so I could get the most tracktime during the day. I am very happy since years of driving with ESC and can highly recommend their Events to anyone who is looking into driving their first trackday to get a feeling for their car or improving their driving abilities as an experienced driver.

@@joequax197 I remember good things about them yes, the owner(s) seemed very nice. Personally I want to find trackdays with the clearest track possible which is so ******* difficult. I would happily only get 10 laps per day if they were clear... I do Manthey trackdays which are low traffic but still hard to get a good clear lap on new cup2r before they slow down! My only concern is they seem to have much lower decibel limits than other events on the Ring which makes me wonder if it is accurate

Dankeschön! Der Motor ist drehfreudiger und leistungsstärker im oberen Drehzahlband. Der Bläcki ist mehr für den Trackday ausgerichtet. Das fängt schon bei der Serienbereifung an. Die Bremsleistung, das Gripniveau (mechanisch + aerodynamisch) und die Beschleunigung sind auf einem anderen Level. Der GTr ist ein Allrounder der sowohl Trackdayeinsatz als auch im Alltag als Grantourismo abliefert. Ein guter Vergleich wäre der Carrera GTS bzw GT3 (liegt eher dazwischen) und der GT3 RS😜 liebe Grüsse

HI, ich lass mich mal überraschen, stand jetzt vor der Frage "wieder GT3 oder mal was Anderes", auch aufgrund deiner Videos ist es ein GTR Pro geworden, mit dem Sound bin ich insofern unzufrieden das ich kaum nach Gehör schalten kann weil man die Drehzahl nicht hört (zumindest kenne ich das so vom GTC und dem C63S, aber der GTR klingt ja nicht anders. Die Automatik soll angeblich wegen OPF zu früh schalten (habe ich bei TIKT gelesen). Wie ist es mit mehreren Runden am Stück in Hockenheim? Denke da ist ein Porsche der Bench....LG und Unfallfrei bleiben.

Hi, und zuerst herzlichen Glückwunsch. Eine tolle Wahl. Ich fahre mein Fahrzeug den Antriebsstrang betreffend im Originalzustand, deswegen habe ich nie Probleme gehabt.. anders als bei den Bastelbuden die man sonst rumfahren sieht 😅 Meine Automatik schaltet perfekt, ich wähle dennoch den Gang lieber selbst. Wenn du etwas mehr Sound haben möchtest, kannst du Downpipes mit Sportkatalysatoren verbauen. Ich würde trotzdem beim OEM Mapping bleiben, auch wenn du Downpipes fährst, lediglich die Nach-Kat Überwachung/OPF Fehler deaktivieren. Das Fahrzeug hat genug Leistung im Serienzustand und die Serienlader neigen zum überdrehen sobald der Druck softwareseitig erhöht wird. Im normalen Alltagseinsatz mag das keine Probleme verursachen aber bei dauerhafter Belastung auch bei höheren Außentemperaturen bin ich lieber auf der sicheren Seite und vertraue auf die Erfahrung der AMG Ingenieure 😉VG

@@joequax197 Vielen Dank für deine Antwort. Ich meinte mit standfest nicht den Motor, den Ingenieuren traue ich zu das das Auto im Serienzustand selbst in der Wüste nicht überhitzt. Ich denke wegen dem Gewicht eher an die Michelins und die Bremse, das war in 20 Jahren GT3 Nutzung kaum ein Thema. Eine Runde NOS kann jeder am Limit, selbst ein M5 etc, am Ende des Trackdays wird abgerechnet.... LG

Joe - I see you have track time in the GTR & GT3. So tell me, how does the GTR compare to the 911 GT3. I have a plans to acquire a 991.2 GT3, but have never driven one. I have a GTR today and plan to keep indefinitely.

Hi! Both cars are great but also very different from each other. I know that most people have different opinion on this but imho I've always struggled with Porsche because you really have to push the car to the absolute limit to get the most out of it and this is stressful to me. The Merc makes it a lot easier to approach higher speeds than the Porsche. In both cars you have great seating position. In the AMG its not so familiar than in the 911 in the beginning but if you get used to it, it gives you a really secure feeling and I like that a lot. Everyone says the 911 gt3 has the best steering but I think the GTR steering is a lot better because it has hydraulic steering which is really transparent and gives you good feedback. The one from the gt3 feels artificial to me. The rear wheel steering on the other side is better in the porsche because its much more sensible. This is why I removed mine on the GTR.. The engine and the gearbox from the merc is absolutely remarkable so is the one from the gt3 but dont get me wrong.. the 991 gt3 has no torque at all and that makes it difficult sometimes. You feel that the porsche is a lot lighter and the brakes in stock setup are much more consistend. The tyres on the Porsche hold up longer aswell. My AMG eats up the front tyres if you push too many hotlaps without giving them some rest inbetween. In the end its a matter of personal taste. You dont make anything wrong with both cars. If you dont want to do any modifications to your cars youre propably better off with the porsche because they work really welll out of the factory. For me the v8 with all its power fits better to my personal choice and driving style. I also prefer the noise because its less intimidating. I hope this give you a good impression. Cheers!

I hear people compare the Gt3 to the GT350 which I also have and love. But like the Gt3, you have to really wring it out to get the most out of it, the GTR is just a monster that is so enjoyable. I just want a GT3 maybe as a garage queen. As I won't track them...been there, done that...too much money if you want to push them hard. Thanks for the feedback and I'll continue to watch you eat up those consumables and pry you keep it off the walls.
