I'm just now playing this game right now on Ps5 digital 😅 . I was 14 when the original came out and I played it nonstop. My actual favorite Rpg of all time is still Chrono Trigger but kid's today don't know about that lolo that's a story for another day. Now that that's out of the way, my opinion of this game. Im very much confused lolo THERE IS SO MUCH FILLER!!! Good Grief!!! 🤦🏾♂️ To be honest im forcing myself to finish this just because, but its been hard to enjoy alot of it, because the pace of the story just drags on 🤦🏾♂️. Also there really hasn't been much story so far..🥴 im at the part where Sector 7 is being blown up by turks. Another thing... the FMV scenes are wayy too frequent, during the action to the point where I've actually gotten bored. There is so much talk to this person get this return..then story event follows and then fmv rinse repeat 🤦🏾♂️🥴. Its a frustrating game to play if your looking to enjoy a straightforward story. Now what is actually good the combat system is really excellent. It feels intuitive and responsive. Even though I died alot earlier 😅but that's was my fault I sucked 😅im better now lolo. Also the graphics are phenomenal,but we expect good graphics it's 2020 + lolo I just want to finish this so I can play rebirth. FF7 was going to be an extremely difficult game to remake now matter what so I give the creative team alot of respect and credit. For me so far though it misses alot. However not to the point where its not enjoyable. It just doesn't feel like Ff7 at times. The NPC's are not very memorable at all in contrast with the villagers and character's in the original. There are a multitude of ppl talking about nothing 🥴🤦🏾♂️ My younger bro bugged me to death to play this because he remembered I enjoyed the original but I'm kinda not feeling it 😅😂 Its not a bad game but it just kinda feels thrown together 🤷🏾♂️ I hope it gets better in rebirth.

The big issue is that the Remake Project wants to celebrate FF7 more than it wants to actually BE FF7. So the devs think having more FF7 content with all these NPCs or little chit chats with the party would make us happy. Saying that they're "expanding" by adding more stuff to it. But what does "Tifa selling water filters", "Cloud doing mandatory side quests", "Mandatory coliseum section" expand on? They even took the character, Johnny, who was an NPC with a story in the background and made him mandatory for some reason. Especially when the party leave Midgar, so any relationships made don't matter. In reality, all they did was put in so much filler because this trilogy's production has to be EXPENSIVE. Taking a 6 hour long introduction and making it 33 hours for this game. Taking short exploration areas and making them 1-2 hours long and padded. Making Wall Market into a bootleg Gold Saucer because they can't do the actual Gold Saucer until Rebirth. To highlight how ridiculous it gets, Remake & Rebirth don't fully cover Disc 1 of FF7. Yet despite that, the games are fun are fun to play even if it feels like the the story barely moves forward. The devs recently admitted they wanted to make things different, believing that old fans wouldn't care if they knew everything that would happen. But then also admitted that nothing will actually be truly different, it's just the illusion that things might change to interest old fans with new content. Even though old fans WANTED A REMAKE to begin with.

Also cause you mentioned Chrono Trigger, it is crazy how that hasn't been ported yet to consoles. The mobile port has been on PC for years, yet no Console port of it. Chrono Cross has already gotten ported, so what's taking Squeenix so long to port Chrono Trigger. Then again, this is the same company that thought console players didn't want the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters, the company makes baffling choices at times.

Spoilers are quite a sensitive subject for sure, and modern publishers are very happy to give them in promotional material nowadays, sometimes cleverly done out of context, but not always... As for older media, I think there's indeed a point where it's difficult to keep things secret, and when something has existed for decades, you'd expect to be able to talk about its plot points more freely. That said, if I'm aware someone is going through an older game for the first time and has managed to evade all spoilers, I'll go out of my way to avoid spoiling things for them. And yes, I do believe gameplay can also be spoiled, whether it's cool mechanics, level design, or anything, gameplay is as much a part of the experience as story, if not more, after all.
@Gordoniankid2 күн бұрын
1. I feel like out of context spoilers is a good way of building intrigue without saying too much. But then you have Square Enix the champions of spoiling their games. I was planning on using Crisis Core FF7 Reunion Trailer footage to make a point, but that Launch Trailer spoils 95% of the game's ending XD. But then you have Neo The World Ends With You that spoils the game but also shows footage that's not in the game too. FF7 Remake Project is also designed around people knowing OG FF7 and baits old fans, while screwing over new fans in the process. It's all so weird. 2. Older media is in such a weird place where people expect everyone to know it yet, even though that's impossible. I barely watch movies, I've never seen many beloved films and people get baffled at that fact. Now imagine that across console generations which would require a lot of money and time. And some consoles can't be emulated properly too. Then you have Remakes that are their own version of a game and not the same as the original. 3. The gameplay part is so weird, because it continues to feel like gameplay is seen as unimportant to video games. I know that for most spoilers refers to narrative works. But when the medium's main thing is gameplay interaction, that should be the most important. So talking about stuff like later sections or gameplay surprises should be a spoiler, but unless it's tied to the narrative most think it's unimportant. It's like how when people say "Gameplay is most important in a game" people LOVE to respond with "Um, games are MORE than just gameplay". Freaking no one goes "Yeah this movie sucked, but the music was amazing so it's great" or "This book was OK, but the cover artwork is immaculate so it's still great". Every form of art is comprised of multiple forms of art, but there is a main thing to each medium.

From what I've seen, old fans got a PS4 JUST FOR FF7 Remake. But I feel like the jump to PS5 is what filtered them out since they only got a console for the one game. Hypothetically, Final Fantasy should be attracting new fans regardless, especially since FF7 still has it's legacy. When FF7 Remake was revealed I had friends asking about the hype around it and what made FF7 famous and by proxy FF7 Remake famous. Casual fans wouldn't even know FF7 Remake was only Part 1 of a trilogy (still a dumb idea to me). I've seen people keep making excuses for why FF7 Remake & Rebirth aren't doing as well as OG FF7. "FF7 Remake was on one console!" but OG FF7 was on ONE CONSOLE, a NEW unproven console AND was swapping from Nintendo to Sony. It's why the description of this video says "Can a ground breaking game from 1997 be recaptured in modern day when there's no ground to break?". OG FF7 did crazy technological feats at the time while being a good game. FF7 Remake is a good game, but doesn't do anything people haven't seen before and feels like it's milking the brand by being a trilogy filled with meaningless filler content (How are we 2/3 games in and still haven't finished DISC ONE?!).

I know that was a popular theory when FF7 Remake was new. But that theory has been discredited by the developers. One of the earlier points is also fun because keeping in the "favorite Persona game is your first" cope, my first Persona was 5 but I think to this day, 3FES is probably my favorite, even after Reload. I'd definitely recommend Reload over FES for new players but I feel FES is better as a game. Some of the popular contentions is the lack of Direct Command on party members and the fatique system but I actually prefer FES because of those. This isn't some contrarian/artsy "because it's more realistic" position, the game in outright designed and balanced around these restrictions. The fatique system is there to prevent you from egregiously overleveling and trying to (you can still do it easily with good composition) preventing you from going up the block in a single night. The lack of Direct Command is accounted for because aside from ambushes (which you can easily prevent) the MC always has the first turn to set the party tactics and change his Persona. Some complain about getting up from knockdowns skilling the turn, but if you are making smart use of team composition and persona fusions, and the guaranteed first turn of every fight, you'll never be in a position where that's a problem. And unfortunately, this guaranteed first turn aspect of FES isn't in any Persona game moving forward making it so that playing Persona 4 or 5 with non-direct Tactics unviable because those games are balanced with direct command in mind.

@@chloemarlowe3817 I also understand that, I saw two streamers marathon Persona 3 together. But they had issues with being over leveled. I told them about the "fatigue system" but they thought it sounded worse than being over leveled. Games are designed around their mechanics, so the player just needs to learn how to use them. I see people who never played the original Persona 5, act as if Royal was "fixing a broken game". Over hyping features like running in the overworld or guns reloading between fights. Like I said in the video, I prefer original Persona 4 & 5 more than Golden & Royal. But people act like I'm crazy because "it's the same but more", even though I don't like the "more". Yet people criticize EVERY SMALL DETAIL in Persona 3 Reload, but don't do that for Golden or Royal. Hell, Persona 3 Portable got PRAISED for changing combat to be like Persona 4, yet somehow P3 Reload gets bashed for it. It's also like how I see people complain about Resident Evil 5 not letting you move and shoot. Despite previous entries not letting you do that and Resident Evil 5 has enemies built around you needing to stand still. Making the complaint just an excuse to bash Resident Evil 5. I also started with Final Fantasy 4, but my favorite is Final Fantasy 5 (made a video on FF5). Yet franchises like Final Fantasy have people assume your favorite entry was your first entry for some reason.

Something I'll say on this is that you have to understand that a lot of this is just those people working backwards. It's not a hypothesis in search of evidence, it's a conclusion in search of a rationale. This is how you end up with those "didn't finish it, your opinion doesn't count, did finish it therefore you had to have liked it" hypocrisies and more because the point is explicitly to dismiss and discredit.

I got frustrated with people trying to claim what "is or isn't a twist" when it comes to this scene. Since all of it is twist after twist. And what some consider obvious (Akechi being the traitor) isn't for everyone. Much like how Joker being saved felt obvious to me and the streamer clip I added towards the end. Hell, before playing Persona 5, I saw a trailer and realized Igor was fake based on one line of dialogue XD (but that's unfair since it requires knowledge of other entries). But I kept seeing people argue that "its impossible to see Joker's survival coming" despite the clues the game has. Because Persona 5 is many things, good, fun, amazing OST. You missed one other detail that bothered me about this whole operation. How did Futaba send prerecorded messages to Sae in the Metaverse if the first palace proved that while in the metaverse phones don't work at all? Joker and Ryuji couldn't even get their camera apps to work in Kamoshida's castle.
@Gordoniankid29 күн бұрын
I wasn't sure whether or not to include that. Since while the game does highlight the camera & phone calls don't work (Still don't know how they filmed that Shido Calling Card). It technically doesn't state Futaba can't just set pre-recorded messages on a timer on Joker's phone. Similar to how Futaba can make the Meta-Nav activate by simulating finger tapping. Which is why I focused on the PERFECT TIMING of those messages, but counted it as more of a nitpick. Another thing I could have brought up was the weird part where Joker HAS to tell Sae to show Akechi the phone. Despite Futaba tracking both Joker & Akechi's phone, which would let her know when the two crossed paths regardless if they were standing still. Also the idea that Sae wouldn't talk to Akechi UNLESS told to do so is weird. But that's more of an issue of how the game justifies the Bad Ending for failing the interrogation.
@Eternalwarpuppy29 күн бұрын

@@Eternalwarpuppy Joker would forget because of the black outs in his memory. Which is why the option to sell out your friends is a there. With Joker remembering the plan if you reject Sae's plea deal. When regardless, Sae should be taking Joker's phone with her since it's evidence. Sae even notes how the police haven't been able to open the phone. The only shaky part is if Sae would help save Joker. But even when telling Sae to show Akechi the phone, she still isn't aware of who the person Joker wants the phone shown to. And Sae only agrees to assist Joker when Futaba's messages begin playing. There is also the weird bit during Madarame's Arc where Ann uses the Meta-Nav inside Madarame's house. Having Ann, Morgana & Yusuke appear close to Joker & Ryuji. But Ann, Morgana & Yusuke still manage to escape the Metaverse via the entrance Joker & Ryuji used. Or how the party appear next to Leblanc after Futaba's Palace when we've only seen them activate it next to Futaba's room (also Futaba somehow walking through the desert to the Pyramid). Which is inconsistent to how the party claims you can only exit the Metaverse from when you entered. Hence why they couldn't just use the Meta-Nav to save Joker themselves.

The first RPG I've played in my life, and the first FF to have come to Europe! It was honestly a good introduction to the genre since it does pretty much everything at least competently, it may not be outstanding in any regard, but I can't think of a glaring weakness it has either. It's just a smooth, well-paced, satisfying ride that doesn't require too much effort to get into but still has enough depth to be fun despite its simplicity. And I think that's ultimately part of what made it so popular, just about anyone could get into it (Even my parents played it a bit) and enjoy it! It's not among my absolute favorites in the franchise nowadays, but it's still a game I'm fond of and don't mind revisiting every now and then!
@Gordoniankid29 күн бұрын
Interesting that you brought FF7 being the first entry in Europe. Usually people focus on FF2, 3 & 5 not coming to America or FF7 being the first worldwide hit. So to have FF7 be the first entry to get brought over sounds insane. FF7 did what it needed to do, be a good game while it had the whole world watching. Got so many people into the RPG genre and Final Fantasy. And put Square Soft on the map, at least until they almost collapsed and had to merge with Enix😅. I still don't get how once FF7 Remake got revealed, some started turning on FF7. Not liking it's visuals, saying the gameplay was "nothing" and even complaining it wasn't voice acted. Some even saying FF7 is "full of plot holes" yet no one can ever cite one. But FF7 Remake did also convince others to play FF7 and like it too.
@MrLemmy8229 күн бұрын
Yep! It probably contributed to its popularity as a whole, since Europe simply did not have the previous games to compare it to back when it released. Dragon Quest is in a similar situation except it took until Dragon Quest VIII on the PS2 for the franchise to start getting European releases! Being in the right place at the right time can truly make all the difference sometimes, and FFVII did just that! I find that all too common when games get remakes, some people start denigrating the original versions in multiple ways. FFVII is one of them, but a recent example is also Persona 3 Reload that had a lot of people act as if the original/FES/Portable versions were never actually good, down to saying the voice acting of these versions was terrible as well. It's like they have that mentality that a newer version makes older versions obsolete and vehemently assert that not by enjoying their version but by putting down older versions instead...

"Right place at the right time" is such a crazy thing. For both FF7 and the PlayStation as a whole having the best timing. Also the other aspect "ahead of it's time" which I feel games like Star Ocean Till the End of Time and Star Ocean Last Hope suffer from. I swear those 2 games would be more beloved if they released nowadays. The way people argue over Persona 3 Reload is part of a video I have coming. Specifically how people claim "nostalgia blind" if you prefer P3/FES/P3P but call you "Atlus bootlicker" if you prefer Reload. There's no winning in that scenario, people just wanna discard an opinion.

I forgot to also add how the famously long Supernova animation in FF7 was added during localization. It used to be much shorter. But now that super long and detailed animation is associated with FF7 and haunts new players to this day.
@MrLemmy8229 күн бұрын
Yeah, timing can both be a great blessing if you get it right, or a big hurdle if you don't. Some games are too late to the party, but others are indeed too early to really find their audience! Online discourse is just filled with people who aren't trying to discuss something, they just want to assert their opinion as right and the others as wrong, and ultimately no one changes their mind because of it. The funny thing is that the Supernova animation isn't the only thing that changed, the attack's properties did too, the Japanese one deals a regular amount of damage to the party while the International one instead deals 15/16th of the party's current HP in damage. Amusingly this means the one with the longer, more impressive animation cannot kill you while the shorter one is actually potentially dangerous if you're low on HP.

I've seen many make that claim, but: 1. The video addresses how even if people want to say Akechi is too predictable. So is Joker being alive when the game suddenly prevents the player from hearing certain conversations. Or how Akechi screws up early in the game with the "pancakes" line. Then there's the fact believing Joker died means believing the game's main mechanics get removed too. Persona 5 is not a subtle with it's twists, saying Akechi being the traitor isn't a twist means nothing in the game is a twist. 2. There can be more than one twist in a scene. This sequence alone has: Akechi is the traitor and a criminal, Shido is the mastermind behind the SIU Director & Akechi, Akechi is an assassin sent to kill Joker, The Phantom Thieves knew about Akechi, Sae helps the Phantom Thieves.
@ChillChaos-nr6zjАй бұрын
@@Gordoniankid To me it's not that Akechi being the traitor wasn't a (predictable) twist but it wasnt the MAIN twist (that being the phantom thieves actually KNEW he was the traitor and they had actually set up an elaborate plot to save Joker). You said Joker being alive was predictable because of the game not letting you hear conversations between the PT or the pancakes line, but realize that those are VERY subtle details that not many players would notice and if they did they probably wouldn't remember (for example the pancakes line is said somewhat early into the game so even if people did catch onto it, which again not many players would, they probably wouldn't remember it when its brought up WAAAAY later into the game). And then theres the characterization of the phantom thieves that wouldn't lead players to believe they had the CAPABILITIES to set up such an elaborate and planned out plot. In many of the conflicts that we see in the game between the adults vs the Thieves the odds are severely stacked against them and many players thought it would be the same when Joker gets captured in Sae's palace, but when the twist comes that the phantom thieves planned out Joker's capture and used it to their advantage, really shocked me personally and was a really well written twist
@Gordoniankid29 күн бұрын
@@ChillChaos-nr6zj The fade to white audio cut out is NOT SUBTLE AT ALL. That one is very blatant in not wanting the player to hear what's going which draws attention to it. Persona 5 shows scenes Joker wasn't there for (weird since the game is told primarily through flashback), so the game suddenly taking away information from the player stands out when it starts happening AFTER Akechi threatens the Phantom Thieves. And the fade to white scenes are ONLY WHEN AKECHI IS NOT IN THE ROOM, adding to the idea of the Phantom Thieves talking about something behind his back. The pancakes line is subtle, but people love highlighting that line as to why they feel like Akechi being the traitor isn't a twist since he made a mistake. But the same pancake line also highlights the Phantom Thieves heard an important piece of information, that's why I brought it up. Also the constantly progressing Social Link for Sae in present day has to be building up to something since it even finishes moments before Akechi shows up. The Phantom Thieves do show elaborate planning in regards to the Madarame Palace. Scouting out the final room and exploiting the flaws in the security (made a video on that heist, it's my favorite in the game). On top of needing to enter the Palaces to begin with and circumvent the puzzles & traps in the Palaces. So the Phantom Thieves are competent when the situation calls for it, even if the game keeps portraying them as walking into damn near every trap imaginable. Then there's also the idea that Persona 5 would remove the Wild Card mechanic if Joker actually died. Which is a crazy idea to believe the developers would do. But I know I'm in the minority of not believing story scenes if they would drastically alter the gameplay. I also wanted to focus on the actual plan by Akechi/Shido and The Phantom Thieves since I feel like the actual schemes get ignored entirely when this topic is brought up. So my biggest gripe was the plan to save Joker had issues with it, like the inconsistent Shadow vanishing or nobody coming to dispose of Joker's body (because if they did, they would realize Joker was gone).

REmake 2 is awesome but didn't really have to be a remake, same as REmake4, and I think they'd have been even better if they weren't. REmake 4 is a masterpiece but when compared to RE4 it kinda pales for a few minor changes despite being mechanically superior.
@GordoniankidАй бұрын
@@night1952 Yeah, I remember when RE2 Remake was new, people kept saying it was more of a reimagining. Because despite the setting & cast, everything else was completely different. Even character personalities. RE4 Remake just didn't need to happen at all. RE4 is fine as is, but once Capcom announced RE4 Remake. Suddenly people started RE4 was "outdated and aged poorly. Ironically now that RE5 is next up, suddenly people don't want a remake. Granted, those people don't want an RE5 remake (like IGN) because they don't like RE5. I don't want an RE5 Remake because RE5 is my favorite RE game and I think it still works just fine.

I like how the first seconds of the video already answer the question! You're definitely right that no game "needs" a remake. Games are in many ways a product of their time, some would say "But- but- but- older games had technical limitations!!!!", and to that I say these technical limitations are part of what led to them existing in that form as developers worked around them, or designed the game in accordance with them. A game isn't inherently worse because it operates on older technology, sometimes it's even the opposite because the inability to just brute-force things with technology led to some really clever design. As you mentioned, these remakes don't make the games more accessible in any way, they make different games that happen to share some similarities with past games but are ultimately different, and a lot of publishers try to make these new games replacements for the older ones, perhaps in a way to extensively monetize them at full price, which is something they can hardly do with older games. Unless the *original version* of a game is easily accessible, then it's not a matter of accessibility, it's a matter of replacement.
@GordoniankidАй бұрын
When I had my friend test this video, he said me immediately answering the question was a jump scare 🤣. I've seen people for years say that the original Final Fantasy 7 looked ugly because of early 3D models. But even crazier was seeing complain about Final Fantasy 1 - 6 using images for enemies saying "how could you stand it back then?" 💀. The limitations of back in the day meant that new ground could be broken. But nowadays things feel homogenized since there's not much new being doing with the software or hardware. Or games that were unique being made more standard. It's weird how the gameplay, the most important part of a video game. Is seen as something that can be replaced so readily despite being the game's identity. People saying a game needs to change genre to be "good". When in reality the person just doesn't like that genre. Or the naive idea that certain genres have "universal appeal" when that's not true. Then the weird repulsion people have to emulation. Despite console companies using emulation all the time for ports of classic games. But people act as if emulation doesn't make games more accessible.
@DeadByM2FakeАй бұрын
They're making these remakes to appeal to younger gamers and older ones. I think these older titles are perfect as is, but 1 issue I see is accessibility to them. Sure you can emulate these older titles but you know these average Joes won't want to go through that hassle, they're like Caveman. I like the approach Resident Evil has taken, remaking the older titles but also releasing new ones. I don't mind the remakes having played them all, og and remake. Sorry for yapping too long. 😂
@GordoniankidАй бұрын
No need to apologize for yapping I'm guilty of the same thing XD. I've seen many say remakes help make older games accessible, but they don't. Resident Evil 2 Remake isn't Resident Evil 2, RE2 Remake changes almost the whole thing. Both are great games, but Resident Evil 2 only became more accessible when GOG started porting the OG RE1, RE2 and RE3 to PC recently. I've seen someone use Silent Hill 2 Remake saying that it's a great Remake, but OG Silent Hill 2 is no more accessible than it was before. I brought up in the video how Persona 3 Reload got criticism for removing mechanics and not including the P3FES (prior to the DLC anyway) or P3P content. P3P got a remaster at least, but P3 FES isn't any more accessible. I'm glad you mentioned emulation, I wish I included emulation talk in the video since it's weird how people treat it. Many like you said cant be bothered to emulate or prefer a more "authentic experience". But many ports of classic games (like the PS1 games on PS4/PS5 or Nintendo Switch Online games) are emulated. But emulation on console is a topic not many ever bring up when emulation gets bashed. Emulation makes games more accessible since you don't need the original hardware or if the game never released in your country. I played Final Fantasy V as a kid because of emulation and the fan-translation for example.

The funny part is, there's still stuff I forgot to mention like introducing the Blue Mage and Mid into the franchise. Also the best Airship in the series since it doubles as a submarine too. Final Fantasy V doesn't get the love or respect it deserves since it didn't get officially localized until after FF6 and FF7. But to see stuff FF5 did get associated with other entries annoys me. Or the common claim that FF5 "has no story" despite it doing being about environmentalism (people associate with FF7 more) and The Next Generation.

Pretty good vid dude! Some of my thoughts: Characters getting replaced after dying doesnt usually take away the story significance of them dying but I really like when story events affect the gameplay so a character getting replaced gives some gameplay-narrative dissonace (the story has changed but the gameplay hasn't) I only played ff7 up to the gold saucer so idk how things worked later game but aerith was one of the best characters because of her limit. Later game you could probably replace it with better materia though, i didnt get that far. Also, akechi was a villain so he wasnt really a party member death, more like you just got to ise him for a monthto see what he can do. Unlike shinji who feels introduced just to die akechi feels introduced to flesh him out as an antagonis, and he dies as a side effect of being a villain
@GordoniankidАй бұрын
-I feel like the death matters should matter in the story even if the character gets replaced. Lavitz may get replaced, but his death is never forgotten, especially late into The Legend of Dragoon. Same with Galuf in FF5 who still gets mentioned and shows in spirit. But yeah, I understand that giving a replacement feels cowardly from a gameplay standpoint. Like the devs were too scared to actually remove something. But I feel like Galuf/Krile example helps FF5's story aspect of The Next Generation, going from 3 Warriors of Light & 1 Dawn Warrior. To a full party of the newly chosen Warriors of Light. -Aerith also never gets forgotten, but despite a common complaint of FF7 being that characters play almost entirely the same. I constantly see people cite Aerith as if she was massively different in gameplay. When in reality, Cure + All (which you get pretty early) is more efficient than waiting for a Limit Break. I didn't use Aerith in my party because her offense felt too lacking compared to others combined with me making Cloud the healer. -I've seen people convinced that Akechi would become a Phantom Thief and didn't expect him to be a villain. Just like Shinjiro, Akechi is an NPC with his storyline setup throughout, joins for one month and then dies. Him being a villain doesn't change that dynamic since there was always the chance he would join the team, with the party saying they don't forgive him, but that he could have joined at any time. On my P5 Royal playthrough on this channel, my friend was convinced Akechi would join and felt betrayed to learn he was a villain. -Shinjiro had his whole story arc set up very early into Persona 3. They do mention the suppressants that are killing him, but that doesn't mean he would go out the way he did. But while I see new fans saddened by the loss of Shinjiro, older fans just say he was "made to die" and "doesn't matter" despite how his death affects the party. With the P3 Reload version making Shinjiro more powerful compared to the party to add an even bigger loss gameplay wise. P3P version with the female protagonist even lets you save Shinjiro, but he's in a coma for the rest of the game until the ending.

I think what he meant to say is that Sony doesn’t have strong enough IPS to make meaningful sequels that will sell to a massive audience, just the same ones like Last of Us, God of War, Spider Man, Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon.
@Gordoniankid2 ай бұрын
The idea was that Sony doesn't have enough IPs they developed personally. With many companies that they own being ones that they bought out instead of building from the start. But, they still have stuff like the IPs from the Japan Studio. So they they have IPs that can work with and even IPs they didn't develop personally that they can and do use for multi-media projects. My question was, will they just abandon a new IP like they have with their other catalogue? Sony is licensing out Freedom Wars, so they have a chance to build up excitement for their IPs. Hell, could pull a Rare Replay and make a crazy collection to build hype back up for their IPs.

@@Gordoniankid Yes you are mention less than a handful of games that were not made by Sony Studios; compared to a lot of cinematic games. @@mortalballdc My whole point was that Sony could do more with their IPs. Main reason is resolutions have got higher. When games were running at like 720p you couldn't really have the text be small and still be readable because it would just be a blocky mess. If you go back and play some of the 360 and PS3 era games the text and UI elements are always way too BIG and obscure the gameplay, in my opinion. I agree though that developer should put the time into adding UI scalers because as someone who plays a lot on Steam deck, the smaller text in games these days is pretty annoying. These things are subjective and things like eyesight, seating position, display type etc etc etc all factor into peoples preferred UI scale. So they should just allow us to change it, even if it takes extra work.
