12:58 Excel don't read/handle measurement units. Money, time, date, fractions it understand someway. So, "5 in" is invalid value. Change value to "5" will fix calculation 13:31 - 13:32 Also I see more invalid cells, (C3, C4, C5) cell type is "Text". Those need to set "General" or "Number" (You see drop down input line middle of excel on top) *remember convert "text to number", after you change cell type

@@Hagerman 4:28 I guess problems start from here when creating new rows, I think Inventor create excel cells as "Text" by default... (bug) :P

@@Hagerman Final solution (my opinion) is, continue using only either: excel program (sheet) to add/edit parts (you can do this on background, Inventor updates when sheet saved) or continue using only Inventor iPart table. - Try to avoid using both in turns if possible, Inventor itself is creating "Text" cell types which gives you headache later in formulas in excel program. Just keep that in you mind.

Hi do you know how to make pdf that contain hyperlinks? Bluebeam for example in the sheet index page, when you click on a sheet number, it will take you to that sheet and any callouts will take you to the specific detail from same sheet or different sheet.

My design center takes around 5 minutes to open, I think it's opening all my files on my shared network. Is it possible to disable the DC online function?

We cannot find anything that indicates we can disable the Design Center from quick-scanning network locations. We did find if the Design Center is taking that long to load/display it is most likely due to a mapped network drive or mapped network printer that is not responding to Windows and is causing the delay. Quote from our Solutions Engineer, "A similar situation was happening to me in AutoCAD when using the OPEN command… it would take 3-4 minutes to display the OPEN Dialogue box because I had mapped network drive that wasn’t responding to Windows so Windows ran through some time-out tests before finally realizing the drive was unavailable." What running osnaps do you recommend? I suggest End Mid CEn, qua, and INt.

Which Running OSNAP’s to use is more a matter of personal preference and workflow. You’ve actually listed the main ones I use, Endpoint, Midpoint, Center & Intersection. I do not use Quadrant as a Running OSNAP simply because I do not use it much. When I do need Quadrant, or any other OSNAP, I’ll invoke them as SNAP OVERRIDES.

While Infraworks can do conceptual engineering, the example that you provided would be best utilized by creating a corridor in Civil 3D using the appropriate regions and then importing it into your Infraworks model.

Every year, Autodesk have an internal competition where the winner is the one who gets to make this program even more complicated and unintelligible. I just sat through a whole hour of somebody simply adding a symbol to a database. It shouldn't be this hard, it doesn't need to be.

Design assistant is a very poor piece of software. It's OK for small jobs, but if you have large assemblies, it is very time-consuming. "YOU HAVE TO RENAME EACH PART SEPARATELY." There are also pitfalls. I always just use copy, rename the copy, and then move the new copies from the folder into a new folder. Be careful if you pack and go then rename, because the parts you rename in the pack and go folder are not renamed the original parts in the original folder are renamed unless you change the path every time you rename a part. This is never explained in tutorials....
