I am a Extra Class Amateur Ham radio operator and I also hold a FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL). A former ARRL Official Observer State Coordinator and a Member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. I am also a retired member of one of the largest 1% motorcycle clubs in the world, so words like Love, Loyalty and Respect hold special meaning to me. Holding also degrees in Machine Technology, Electronic Engineering and Information Technology. Was also just awarded a Masters award from the Century Club, the 2nd Handi-ham Master since the founding in 1977 of the ham radio club. I am currently retired due to a high-voltage accident that left me a bi-lateral amputee. My Dad owned the first Harley-Davidson dealership in Alabama and I have been 2 wheels my whole life. My Mom started bowling when I was 6 months old and later she was 7th in the nation non-professional, she was just awarded her 50 year plaque in WIBC. I have work lots of jobs while putting myself thru school. I've worked in machine shops, as a anchor rigger to a seismograph operator for a blasting company. After graduating from electronics school I went to work for a company that built modems, UDS in Huntsville Al. They engineered the first full-duplex 9600 baud modem. After several years there a chance to work on my first Olympic project building a A/V switcher for 3M going to the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Once those games were over I worked for a number of years for Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) as a Chief Engineer. I also was at the ground floor of the WEWN shortwave station in Vandiver, Alabama. With 4 - 500K watt Thompson transmitters bringing the Word to all parts of the world. Leaving EWTN for another Olympic project, this time the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Ga. Where I was Engineer in Charge of Georgia Dome Gymnastics broadcast system for Panasonic America. After that and coming home I went to work for the City of Birmingham in the Traffic Engineering department. Nobody was bombing Birmingham at the time. After about 8 years there I had a accident. I became a disabled bi-lateral amputee from contacting a ground line that was energized with high-voltage, 13,500 volts to be exact. Lots of pain and LOTS of burns, 50% 3rd and 4th degree. Whoever said, "STOP, DROP AND ROLL" has never been on fire before. It turns into, "OHH, SHIT AND RUN" in a hurry. Yet with the Lords help I try not to let it slow me down. While being electrocuted, I was heard to scream, "GOD, PLEASE SAVE ME!". At that exact time the breaker supplying the high voltage power opened! NEVER forget he is there with us at all times and all we have to do is ask for His intervention. The fire department was returning from a call when they were called to me. As they were at the end of the block and watched my crew lowering my bucket, they jumped out with fire extinguishers and started putting me out. I was so hot that when they put the flames out I re-ignited. 197 days in the hospital, a year and half of rehab with daily dressing changes. Would have not made it without the Lord beside me the whole time. I had to even learn to walk again. As a child I grew up riding motorcycles and I still ride my Harley. Something the doctors never thought I'd do. I have traveled around the world, touched the sky and the bottom of the ocean. I have stood on the steps of Apollo's Temple. Went to the mountains and gazed in to the Oracle at Delphi. Drank from the Mediterranean Sea at Poseidon's gateway. Stood on the rubble that has remained of the Wall of East and West. Stood on massive glaciers in Alaska, listened to corn grow in Alabama. Sat were Presidents have lived in Washington and prayed where native Americans died in South Dakota. Stood on the bow of a ocean liner watching dolphins jump the waves. Never let anyone tell you that it can not be done, God gave us the ability its up to you to dream. I had a dream that I would one day meet my son and after 25 years it happened! Within a week of that he and his wife gave me my first granddaughter. Life is very good! www.linemanbarn.com/onion-george.html

He deserves the ESPY award, not Bruce Jenner for becoming a woman. That wasn't courageous. Noah's story was inspiring, and he is a better role model than most people nowadays. To compete in sports after having your limbs blown off in combat is more courageous than coming out as a transgender. People have been living as transgenders for years and none of them got an award for "courage" until Bruce Jenner came into the spotlight as Caitlyn. Noah Galloway is more of a hero than Bruce Jenner will ever be.

Why no kafo ..spl2 like? She has a afo on .. I don't see a lack of her leg going out. I use the fillauer llc kafo ..spl2 .. my leg doesn't swoop out with my c4 paralysis. The afo part is a stimulus to my feet. Her reaction however different .. seems as thou could be a reaction the brain can't control . My feet don't like binding or placed on a afo . Back of the leg part connected to the foot portion going into her shoe I get what it does. I made my first 3 steps using a afo. I couldn't get past it. Has she tried the bungee like thing ..btmrehab.com has? It helped me. I just needed more . Sometimes ..I see you companies needing to share the lime light for the better of the patient ...The need :)

Thank for sharing Noah Galloway's story with us. I think this man is amazing. He has three kids. He has gone through two divorces. He has a great, strong, inspiring, and loving girlfriend. It was so nice to see his reunion with his girlfriend on the most recent "Dancing With the Stars" episode. Noah is the main reason why I'm tuning in to watch "Dancing With the Stars". I don't watch every season of "Dancing With the Stars". I did like watching J.R. Martinez, Amy Purdy, & Heather Mills dance on "Dancing With the Stars" prior to Noah Galloway because all of those individuals had to overcome medical & physical obstacles - losing body parts or going through many medical surgeries, etc. And they all faced their fears and learned to dance and compete on "Dancing With the Stars". One of my three college degrees is in Rehabilitation Counseling, so, I'm always interested, inspired, intrigued, & supportive of individuals who have faced, survived, and who have overcome unexpected adversity and life, physical, medical, emotional, mental, etc. challenges. I find Noah Galloway to be a great role model and someone to highly respect, admire, be in awe of, support, etc. I also think he is a humble & modest man. I like his attitude, his drive, his outlook on life. He has a lot to say, a lot to show, a lot to prove to the world, and I like seeing that fire in him! I wish him, his girlfriend, his kids, etc. the best. That was interesting to see that his Dad used one arm, too, having lost his hand. So, Noah's strength comes from his family & from seeing his Dad using one arm, too. Nice video!

I'd like to know if Bio Tech would ever consider helping my son with prosthetics he was hit by a freight train October 10,2012 in Albion,Michigan he went through 29 surgeries to be saved.ERVIN Hunter is his name and this happened to him 6 days after his 23rd birthday he was in a medicated coma in the hospital first then went to two different rehabilitation centers and finally on June 23,2013 I was able to bring Ervin home. When Ervin came home he was still very under weight from eating through tubes nearly the entire time he was in the hospital and both rehabilitation centers so once home and able to eat again he got closer to his normal weight WICH made his leg prosthetic to small and he has never been fitted for an arm prosthetic and by him only being 25yrs old we need to get him out of the wheelchair and back on his feet. Please contact me with any information at [email protected] or my home phone is 15176292713 Sincerely Yours,Kerrie Saldivar
