That is a very dangerous tool without any safety features. Why all the 10 edges are sharpened and not just 5? If a blade hits a rock, it or a piece of rock may fly to your face. Do you know how many serious accidents happen to lawnmower users.

I don’t understand why nothing exists in the market for compost shredding. I know it’s pretty niche, but wouldn’t you have thought a company like TimberWolf or something that is for shredding wood would have had a similar implement for shredding compost. I have a roughly 1 tonne pile of compost, and it’s in its final stages but just not quite getting there yet. A shredder would not only blitz the leaves and twigs but it would also mix the carbon:nitrogen material better. At the moment I use a hand fork and it takes about approximately 35-40 mins to fully turn and mix the pile. It’s so annoying.

Mediocre. Using a drill on all that in the bin would take a very long time to chop it down.

I use a cordless trimmer with the leaves in my plastic compost bin. Works great! And to mix the compost, I use the same Ryobi Drill you have along with an 36" digging auger. It works great and I do not have to worry about a pitchfork or shovel destroying the walls of my plastic bin.

You could get away with half the grinding if you always spin it the same direction

Will also give this a shot. Probably allow for some moisture to add resistance between particles. Grind, mix, let it sit a few days. Rinse and repeat. At some point sift out the fines and keep the stubborn stuff for round 2, or 3, or.... 45. Thanks for the idea!
