As a person who lives on the A95, I will say that there is a huge lack of a full ring, so when I drive from the north, it is not worth it because of the traffic jams on this section, so I choose the shorter one and the same congested Mitteler Ring. The worst thing is that before the opening it was known that there should be 3 lanes in each direction... and now there is a problem.

Never understood why the western part of the A99 is only 2x2 especially that landtunnel is too narrow and no room for expansion. The effect of that bad vision are visible in the opposite direction. There were plans to connect the A99, A95 to the A995 directly but because it crosses a protected natural area and wooded Isar valley and had to be crossed by a expensive landtunnel. It is/was (definitely?) shelved. But the situation now by diverting traffic to the already congested Mittler Ring is even worse. 😮

Is there a specific reason for those extra blocked lines on some of the stretches in the first part of the vid? Like at the entrances of the tunnels or at 7:00? They seem random?

This was the Dutch version of the 'Vide' in France. You must admire that the Dutch are masters in protecting open space even when they are one of the most densily populated countries in the world. Even when you enter Emmen you hardly note a difference, "Where the heck is the build-up area of Emmen?" 😁😇😍 And there's a Nieuw-Amsterdam in Drenthe? 😋

Yea it happens.. It's never nice when you have to hang in the brakes like that, especially if you have someone on your heels (in this case the MB SL). The truck should have waited. He then proceeded to intentionally block the left lane for no reason, it happens quite regularly on the Autobahn unfortunately 🙃

I just came across this video as a KZbin recommendation. Totally bliss. Many thanks. the scenery is sublime and I miss it. We've driven the Italian Autostradas many years ago. From Monte Bianco to Modena. Then Modena to Sicily. Precious memories. Have to say watching this brought a tear as mum would have loved seeing this clip. Thanks for sharing.

The first part of the video when you drive in Savnik it reminds me of Triberg im Schwarzwald where the laat part of the city is downstairs too and the motorway on the left side upstairs.

@@DriveNRoam Nice, it's usually too busy here to do any fast driving. Maybe at night although much of this Autobahn has a speed limit in this area.
