Thank you so much for the info. I'm planning on just playing solo guitar over backing tracks with the Yamaha THR10 ii. I need to take into account the power supply which is 15V 3A which means i need a different converter... obviously right? I'm very bad when it comes to electricity

Tips Ive found in the comments. 1. Do it for you, not the money 2. Play upbeat and popular songs, not sad songs. 3. Farmers markets seem to be a common favorite 4. Have a little cash in the tip case already so people know the situation

My performance method is not unique (I've never met anyone else who does what I do), but it's apparently *so* different that I cannot get a busking licence, and most "open mic" venues and hosts will not let me perform.

Hi!, great video. I have awful ground loop noise using those TRS pass-through connectors. Did you ground yours to the chassis? I think you just need remove the plastic grommet under the small set-screw on the side of the connecter to ground them.

Do you think I could get away with using Ryobi batteries and a Ryobi inverter? (modified sine wave) How much noise/hiss does a modified sine wave really make, is it still useable?

The big problem with busking is that 95% of all buskers consist of a guy playing the guitar and singing through an amp. And they get louder and louder. Here's my group busking. We don't use any amps, not even for vocals.

Hi! Is there a mixer I could use without connecting it to an external batery? I use a roland cube street so for the amp I don't need an external batery for busking, but I do want to connect more instruments to it, so I thought a mixer would be a good solution. And I wonder if it would work by just connecting it to my roland cube street.

I play the Ukulele among other instruments. She is an acoustic. Why do you need amplication? The whole point of an acoustic is so you DON'T need an amplifier. I have been playing for thirty-six years now. The ONLY time I needed amplification is with my band (defunct due to Covid). I see where you are coming from, but I don't totally agree. I have Basses. Electric and acoustic both, with one being acoustic/electric hybrid. I have heard acoustic instruments sound just fine without all the heavy amps and speaker cabs. Not all of us have access to places where we can plug into an outlet, and portable generators are not feasible for the average busker. I am disabled and just can't schlep that type of gear anymore. I say take it case by case. If you are able to do so, yes. Use all the equipment you need.

I have a double A powered Amp I got on Amazon. Like 2 pounds and can make the electric as loud if not louder than an acoustic along with more variation such as grain and reverb

An interesting bit of trivia. Here in Tulsa, ok, USA, you can't use the deep marine or even a regular battery from a car. You'll get cited and run off. So be sure you can use that kind of battery.

Plug your gear into a power strip into a VOLT Meter into AC WALL socket. Play guitar / sing = WATTS you need. Battery Watts / Watts you need per hour = Hours use X 85% = Real Life Usage Est.

@tomsoutheymusic Жыл бұрын
Hey Eliza! You definitely can, but if people want to support you enough to buy a CD, often the price isn't as important as say in a Record Shop. People pay for two reasons, to hear your original music and also to support you! So don't sell them too cheap!

Just to add my own confirmation, fans but CDs to support you and possibly to collect. They will never listen to it. They just want to support you. They may also buy a shirt instead, then you can throw in a CD. One of the biggest mistakes I always see artists make especially local artists working as specific area is that they undervalue their work and they underestimate how much people are willing to pay for things. Just because we are broke musicians doesn't mean other people are. Lots of people have money and they like spending it on things. We have the term patron in our vocabulary for a reason. I'm out of the game admittedly but even in the olden days a few years ago, CDs were mostly bought for support. Some people would even leave the CDs at the end of the show because they forgot it. Resell those bad boys ;)

Love this. Thank You for posting. Sorry about your grandfather. I will not forget him. For me this video has other meaning. I made a video series, "Dead in the Water". If you were to watch part 3 of the series, you can see the connection(search "Part 3 of 8 - Born Alive"). I found this video performing a search ("lost at sea" ship Jesus lyrics). The view count is now 666. There are no coincidences.
