it's very comforting to me seeing someone else having the same thoughts process. I made a video saying something similar and it felt like just voicing out what I was feeling lifted a weight off my chest and felt liberating. As if I needed to say it out loud to allow myself to fully embrace the new journey with a hint of anxiety and excitement. Good luck on this new chapter!

I love paintings that are abstract art without just being random paint splashes. This is an art peice with actual deep meeting behind it. Changing perspectives from person to person. I see it as a girl who has given up on her life and has got down a dark path, but others may see it differently.

Probably will never see this again, and you don’t have to read this, it’s just me 2cents. Modern and postmodern art styles tend towards the perverse, the dark, the destroyed, the defeated, the weak all repackaged as our highest ideals. If you ask yourself about the child you once were, is this really a self portrait? I hope I misunderstand entirely, and just come off as another mansplaining pig. I’m not trying to put you down. A self portrait isn’t about to be the highest ideal and this piece wasn’t pulling from my childhood or thinking about being the child i once was. A self portrait can be raw and just be a reflection of our inner feelings that is drawn from a deeper place within ourselves. There is no rule to when, how, and where we decide to get inspiration from to express ourselves. Art is meant to be interpreted in different ways and if this is your take on this piece that is totally fair, there is nothing you are saying that is putting me down!
