When my dog bites her lease, she's giving me a message. I'm not moving fast enough for her or I've talked to someone to long and she's had enough. She wants me to start moving and she's telling me I talk to much. I am, after all, taking her for a walk. I'm not there to stand and talk to people. If we are moving she never bites the leash. My dog is an extremely social dog and very mellow. She doesn't bite the leash when we first start walking or when people pay attention to her.

I'm on my 3rd and 4th Shelties. My girls lived a long time. Our tri-color girl had congenital issues with her back and back legs but she was the best, sweetest little girl and loved running in the back yard. I lost her in 2019 at age 12 to cancer. Our sable girl lived to be 16 and died last year. We got the boys as we lost each girl. Our bi-black boy was born the same day our tri-color died (and I found him by accident). Our bi-blue boy was born the day after we lost our sable and again, I just lucked out in finding him. I still want a girl tri-color to work with to be my service dog. The bi-black was supposed to be, but he's a big daddy's boy so that was hopeless. The bi-blue is a bit stubborn and isn't taking to the service work, he's more interested in hanging out in the yard and bugging his brother. Shelties are the best dogs and I can't even think of life without one. They travel well, we've had them on 2 week driving vacations with no problem. We do have a kennel we've used for 30 years (our big border collie stayed there before we got the first Shelties) and our dogs love the place so we don't worry if we can't take them with us, they'll get lots of love and attention.

AB's are the best dogs in the world, so sweet lap dogs. They all believe they are little lapdogs. My Coco Puff is a 9 year old 90 pound little lapdog, she is also a therapy dog. When I take her to do her work as a therapy dog, it's like she's a Rock Star everybody knows her name and just loves on her. Coco Puff just learned how to bark this year. Her sister has been teaching her for years. I can't t see tell you all the wonderful traits of this breed, because we'd be here forever. Best dogs ever❤❤❤❤❤

My havanese was housetrained sooo quickly. I had a dog toilette for a short time and he was allowed to use the balcony in emergencies, but this was not necessary for long. We didn't have many accidents. Only one carpet obviously looked like a toilet to him. I removed the carpet and then it never happened again. Beside that: best dog in the world. I love him to bits. Funny, loving, loves to learn tricks. Easy to train.

There is no cons to an English Mastiff. They are the most loyal, lovable dogs in existence. They will become your best friend and protectors of the family. The sheltie is a great choice for a pet the only problem I see is the amount of maintenance required for its coat. I would think It could get very expensive if they have to be groomed every four to six weeks
